SRM University Kattankulathur Kanchipuram Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The campus size is more than 250 acres. There is everything available inside the campus. There is even an outlet of subway inside. The classrooms have a seating capacity of 80-85 students. All classrooms are equipped with projectors and ACs. Library, labs, auditorium and almost everything is there. The university has Asia’s largest auditorium. There is a hospital inside campus. Java is my favorite the place to hangout with my friends and grabs good food. The campus is very pretty. There are a lot of trees as well.

The overall campus life is pretty good. The crowd is decent. There are more than 30 clubs in this university. For every different activity, there is a different club. Be it racing, electronics, robotics, you will get a club of your interest. As there are so many clubs, the extracurricular activities take place almost daily. Almost every day, there is a new seminar or a new hackathon to participate in. There are 2 main events: Aarush and Milan. They both are kind of cultural fests. SRM KTR has a huge campus spread over 250 acres. All the Academic Blocks are modern and well equipped with lecture halls, smart classrooms and modern lab facilities. The whole campus has high speed Wi-Fi connectivity and air-conditioned classrooms, seminar halls, auditoriums and conference rooms for conducting academic events and meetings. The University building includes a central library with vast resources, e-journals, desktops and 3 floors of study spaces. Additionally, it includes research centers, innovations and testing labs, incubation hubs for trying out new things & to promote the startup culture. There also sports complexes, gyms, many cafes, a big food court, and a health centre inside the campus premises.

Campus life in SRM KTR is vibrant and dynamic featuring lush gardens and greenery everywhere with well-rounded experience beyond academics. Students come all over the world to study here which makes a diverse culture. There are many numerous clubs and student chapters creating to multiple interests who include technical clubs, cultural clubs, dance, music, drama and also many sports teams. The Institute also hosts events like Milan (Cultural Fest) and Aaruush (Tech fest) annually which features many competitions, workshops and performances. Students also engage in Hackathons, seminars, Ideathons and community service activities. The campus provides ample opportunities for networking, connecting with skilled persons, job options, Internships and skill development. Infrastructure is okay. Not the best there is no AC and in such extreme weather conditions. In the main university building, ACs are there but for some reason they never work efficiently. Lifts are scarce as well here. The labs are well equipped and washrooms are also not the best but they are clean.

Campus life as of now hasn't been great as I have not managed to get a lot of time to spend outside. The only thing that irritates me is the Sports Facilities. Sport’s is only accessible to professional national level players and not to normal people as the grounds and courts are reserved for them. People around you are mostly well educated except for some who are like gangsters.Read Full Review
