Indraprastha College for Women (IPCW), the 1st girl’s college, is one of the famous colleges affiliated with the Delhi University. It is well known for its academic reputation and infrastructure. IPCW is not located particularly in the North Campus but two stations away from Vishvidhyalya in Civil Lines. It has its academic excellence particularly in Humanities, Social Sciences, and Commerce. Talking about my experience in B.Com (Hons.) at IPCW was good. It is famous for organising various events, seminars and conferences to enrich the academic and cultural experiences of the students. This college has many societies like the western dance society (Afroza), classical dance society (Mridang), English debate society (Debsoc), etc. are famous all over the Delhi University. Overall, I'll recommend IPCW for those who are seeking for quality education in a peaceful and vibrant environment of a Delhi University.

I'm pursuing B.Com (Hons.). This is a very popular and competitive course. As we all know now, admissions in the Delhi University are taken on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by NTA. The cutoff of this college is not so high for the General Category. Overall, the academics of this college are really good.

The faculty of IPCW is great. The Commerce faculty is really cooperative and helpful. The faculty teaches in their own unique style, like providing handwritten notes, presentation and much more. The faculty has a minimum of 10 years of experience in their particular field. Overall, the teachers are friendly and really helpful.

The college provides a placement cell which is helpful for students to get placed in top companies like Deloitte, DeShaw, etc. The average package of this college is 8 LPA and the highest package was 32 LPA.

The college offers two hostels. The one is inside the campus is called, ‘Kalavati Hostel’. While the second one is situated opposite to the college and is called, ‘IP hostel’. The rooms of the IP hostel are air conditioned. The rooms of both the hostels are very spacious. The hostels have separate sitting areas, libraries in each wing, a pantry and mess. Overall, the hostels are comparatively nicer than other hostels, but it is also expensive.

Our college is famous for its infrastructure. Comparing to other Delhi Universities, the campus is comparatively bigger and livelier. Our college’s auditorium is also very big. The buildings of IPCW are huge, having a minimum of 2 floors in it. The college has a separate building for the MMMC course. This college has a big canteen, medical room and has well-maintained classrooms for the PWD students.

The campus life of IPCW is very vibrant and peaceful, fostering the student’s academic and personal growth. This college provides active participation in societies. Talking about the fests of IPCW, they are not so bad. The campus itself is well-maintained with a modern infrastructure, including well equipped laboratories for Science and Computer studies, a resourceful and spacious 2 floored library and other recreational facilities.
