My reason for choosing this university was just because of placements and its name. Till now my experience is quite good regarding the campus and academic stuff. There are multiple events happening now and then. The hostels are not good. They are not worth the money we pay for hostel fee. Well talking about the academic stuff it is mostly great but it also has some problems like there is a lot of study pressure. We have to give 40 plus exams in a span of four months which is a semester. Even the exams are also not easy so you have to be really sincere regarding your studies because if you will think that studying one day before the exam will get you good marks, then you are wrong. It can help you in passing the exams but your CGPA will be affected which matters the most in this university. The last problem would be there are around 10 holidays in the entire year, which are very less like removing the Saturdays and Sundays. You have to attend at least 20 to 25 lectures per week.

So to enroll in Computers Science and Engineering course in LPU you have to give the entrance exam which is known as LPUNEST on the basis of which you will be given scholarship. The eligibility criteria is you should be having a science stream in 10+2 with a score of 60% including PCM or PCB. According to me the college should focus on teaching technical skills more than soft skills like the soft skills should be taught to us in 3rd year not from the 1st year only.

While talking about the faculty they are well qualified. Most of them are from IIT, NIT and other top government colleges and a few of them have Ph.D from IIT. The teaching style comprises of practical real life examples, reasoning and also case study. Over the entire faculty is quite nice and prominent. We never face any kind of problem with teachers except few of the teachers as they do not have the knowledge in their own subjects. They come and read PPT' only. It solely depend upon your luck that which teacher are you getting. Well, talking about their background they are mostly very skillful teachers who not only have knowledge in their course but also have a very broad perspective in other specializations.

Yes we do have a placement cell which helps us to prepare for the placement drives from 3rd year. You have to give an extra 15,000 upon your fees for placement training. They will teach you different types of skills, soft skills and a number of tests will also be held for clearing interview. You will be trained by the industrial experts who are in touch of top companies. The guidance will be from the top alumni network which is working with FAANG or MNC's. The placement cell will provide you the best company offers. It provides training to the students and helps them in preparing for group discussions. It also focuses on polishing the skills of the students before entering the placement drive.

Yes we do have residential facilities in our institute and it is overall quite nice. The mess and the hostel fees are not included in the college fee. The mess food is quite hygienic, tasty and really good unlike the rumors of other college’s mess. I'm quite satisfied by the mess, it is worth the amount which you pay for it. Talking about the hostel it is quite expensive if you take AC room you will be given 500 units per student and if you take a non ac room you will be given 350 units if the electricity will exceed from the given units you have to pay the bill which is quite absurd. The boy’s hostel is quite far away from the main gate of the university. There are golf carts which roam around our university in campus but they also shut down their business after 8:00 PM. Well you can get a PG outside the campus for a lot cheaper amount but you just have to sacrifice your security out there, inside the campus you will be having security, medical assistance, internet, and 24x7 electricity which are not quite the scene of outside campus area.

I will be telling about the Computer Science department. We have around 10 blocks for a department of six floors. The problem with the blocks is that there are only few lifts in specific blocks. We also have a Uni-mall which comprises of some big brands like Nivea, Domino's and other courier services. We also have three gyms in our university and all of them are paid. We also have an Indoor stadium which comprises of sports like basketball, badminton, volleyball, taekwondo, boxing, swimming, squash, and more. We also have a university hospital which has 5 ambulances and have a lot of skillful doctors. there are more than 5 food courts in the campus so you have a lot of option then there are outdoor grounds for playing sports like basketball, volleyball, cricket, football, baseball, and many more We also have five floors for library which comprises of 20, 00,000 plus books and 30,000 plus generals and many more things which are offline or digitally stored. We also have labs of Google, Amazon, I-MAC, and other experimental labs.

Well you will find a lot of diversity in Indian students. Like at least 50 to 60 percent of students are South Indians in the campus and the rest are from other different areas of India. We also have students from Africa region. There is no specific fest of the university. There are a number of events which are organised in the campus just like concerts, stand-up comedy, e-sport competition and hackathons. Some of them are paid and some of them are for free just like Coke Studios. To unite different cultures and to share a strong bond with each other there are some cultural events just like one world or one India in which we present our stalls of different cultures. There are more than 20 student clubs whose job is to organize events and provide some knowledgeable things to the students or it can be entertainment also overall the campus life is really good.
