LPU BBA Review By Varun Rajpurohit

To be honest this college was not my first choice I attempted IPMAT exam for admission in IIM Indore but couldn't crack it. So I went through lot of websites on internet and came across LPU. They were providing this course under 15 lakhs whereas other colleges like Nirma had fees up to 30 lakhs. When I came to University I was amazed to see it's beautiful campus, large and surrounded by gardens and trees. People from all over India are there in LPU and there is no ragging. There are a lot of food stalls in here and also a huge mall for shopping so in terms of infrastructure this University is best. If you want a vibrant campus life you should definitely come to LPU.

This is Integrated BBA-MBA program and its duration is 4 years at LPU. In the first year all the general subjects of class 11th, 12th commerce are taught like accounts, economics and business management. From Second year onwards students can choose his/her specialization. There are almost 30 options and 2 are to be chosen as major and minor. Even specialization in AI is also available and Finance, Marketing, Human resource and IT are 4 major specialization. The entry requirement is to clear LPUNEST exam and interview followed by exam. Trust me getting admission here is no big deal you just need to have adequate money to pay fees and that's all. Eligibility is more than 60% marks in class 11 and 12. My motive for enrolling in this course was that this was saving my one precious academic year and secondly I thought if I work hard I'd be able to get a good job even in a private company.

The faculty in the first semester was average. Even their teaching methods were same orthodox kind. They just relied on ppt's and read them aloud with no creativity.

There is a placement cell in the Institute and they charge 16,000 as fee for enrollment. The criteria to sit in the cell is to maintain more than 7.5 CGPA per semester and one should have no exam re-appears. If the student is able to comply with this criteria and able to Crack the interview then of course they will get placed. LPU has huge network with multinational companies and they invite them each year to hire students. The concerning part is that it is very competitive and you have to step ahead of your batch mates to get job. The University will bring companies but grabbing the opportunities relies on students. In the beginning of the third year summer and winter internship programs starts and students are taken to internships and field visits to provide exposure. There is an exam for this and one must score good numbers in that to be eligible for the internships.

We have residential facilities in LPU. There are almost 10 Boys hostel and 10 Girls hostel with almost 15 floors with 10 rooms at each floor. The type of rooms are 2,3,4,5 and single sharing with and without A/C. The charges of hostel includes Mess, etc. The charges are really expensive in my opinion even electricity bill and laundry bill has to be paid separately. I did'nt choose hostel and I now reside in Pg 10km away. Hostel students do have benefits of participating in programs meant for hostellers only also all day scholars are not allowed after 6 and mostly extra-curricular begins after 6 so if you live outside forget sports and extra-curricular activities.

LPU is renowned for its infrastructure. It is spread across acres of land and buildings here are aesthetically designed with brick. The main attraction is the robo park surrounded by gardens and trees. There are almost 150 food stalls, 2 large cafes and an entries mall here. Hostellers don't even have to go outside for anything there are shops for almost everything in the University. There are branches of banks like SBI and PNB. Even shops for laptops and electronics and large grocery stores are also present.

Life at LPU is very happening. There are fests and events almost every day. The crowd is cosmopolitan and from all corners of India. There was concerts last week, paradox came and before him anuv jain visited the campus. Comedians like anubhav singh bassi have performed here so all these things make a really cool and vibrant campus life. The events are really great. The festivals are celebrated with joy and enthusiasm. All the events and fests are organized by students and there is a dedicated block for student activities named student welfare wing. There are lot of clubs like dancing, singing, mimicry and more. There are a lot of student organizations and many opportunities are even paid. Also for sports there a grounds for cricket, football, hockey and more. There is an indoor sports complex for badminton and basketball. It also has a swimming pool. Each sport has an instructor and a coach. There is a huge auditorium where all the guests are welcomed and all the important announcements are made. All these activities are paid and not included in the fees. Do come here if you want to enjoy your college life, LPU won't disappoint you.
