National Institute of Technology B.Tech Review By Sai Vamci

My overall experience in this college was really awesome. NIT Warangal stands in the top 3 places out of all NITs. When it comes to opportunities and placements, literally this college stands far ahead than other 1 tier colleges. To be specific, B.Tech in ECE from NITW is much better than many other top NITs and IITs. This institute is the first NIT to launch a new specialized branch which is ECE VLSI, a kind of technology which many industries are working on.

Admission for this academic program is through the JoSAA and CSAB rounds which happens every year based on our JEE Mains rank. The college offers admissions based on many categories like the General, Gen-EWS, OBC, SC and ST. When it comes to the ECE branch, there is no doubt in getting a good placement as many top MNCs come to this institute to offer jobs of various roles.

The faculty of this college is very well qualified, having decades of experience. There is no doubt in saying, that the faculty plays a major role in providing the glory, name and fame to this college. They will guide you every time you are confused with something, related to academics or life.

One of the best things in this college is its good placements. It is obvious that when joining any college, we expect a good job and package at the end of the course. NITW would be the best option to get a good job. I have seen many of my seniors cracking internships and placements. Few of the top companies where our seniors have cracked interviews are Oracle, D.E. Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, etc. The placement percentage is also quite high in our college. The average package of the ECE branch is around 21 LPA. This year the highest package was of 88 LPA, which is the highest record for this academic year.

When it comes to the hostel life, the 1st year students will be given hostels in the Ultra Mega Hostel, which is Asia’s biggest hostel. It has a huge structure having 1800 rooms in it. The 2nd year students have to stay in the old blocks which have been renovated. The washrooms are a bit problematic, as we have to use common washrooms. But few a blocks for the 2nd year students offer geysers. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students will be staying in the Mega Hostel, which has 1000 rooms in it. It is located just behind the Ultra Mega Hostel. The hostel life creates many memories where you will be spending time with your friends and playing games like cricket when security guard isn't there. Overall, the hostel life experience will be very nice; you won't notice the absence of your parents.

The infrastructure of the college is very good and well planned. The classrooms, lecture halls, auditoriums and many others are well constructed. For the 1st year students, classes will be taken in NAB, the new academic building. The classes of 2nd year onwards will be taken in their respective departments. The lecture halls are well equipped with air conditioners and are very spacious, which can accommodate many students.

The campus life is one of the main features which a student will be expecting before joining any college. College life in NITW is literally awesome. You will be exposed to various kinds of people, extra-curricular events and many college fests, where you will get the chance to see many films stars, singers, etc. You will never feel bored with your friends, which you get here. You will make memories of enjoying the green and pollution free environment.
