A review on K J Somaiya College of Engineering

Overall Rating
Placements are good here. When I entered this college I was not sure whether I'll get the best experience here. But the faculty, students, megaprojects, facilities, sports, campus, events, and extracurricular activities here are on very good. I had great learning experiences here so I would recommend everyone to join this institution.
 

Academics Rating
There are courses including Computer Science, AI & ML, AI & DS, EXCP, and Mechanical. Entry can be acquired through JEE, CET or through SET exam specifically for Somaiya College’s admission. Eligibility is based on merit or scores of SET exam. I got EXTC department through 81 percentile in JEE. I joined this program because I was interested in the electronics domain.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members here are Ph.D holders and post graduates. Some are currently pursuing Ph.D and will complete it within few years. They have specialization in domains like Digital Processing, Networking and Electronics are some examples of how qualified the faculty is. The style of teaching differs from faculty to faculty but the best teaching style is of Prof. Kartik Patel.
 

Placement Rating
Yes. It helps a lot because you get good exposure by sitting for multiple interviews.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are Aryabhata and Bhaskar Acharya buildings. The Aryabhata building has a canteen on the ground floor. There are lift facilities for students as well as staff members. There is a library in the Bhaskar Acharya building. There are multiple megaproject rooms like Orion racing India, Onyx India, Ridll, etc. Ridll is specifically a startup platform where you can share your innovative business ideas and raise funds.
 

Campus Rating
Multiple fests occur here. Symphony is the most extravagant cultural fest and Abhiyantriki is the technical fest. Artists like Shaan, Shirley Setia, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sukhwinder, and more have visited the college during fests and concerts. Campus life is awesome and there are multiple activities like a big chess board, table tennis area, carom, etc. to spend time with friends.

  • Admission at KJSCE Mumbai's CSE Branch through MHT CET
     

    Overall Rating
    KJSCE Mumbai is a great college. I chose it because I saw the opportunities it gives to students like student exchange programs and a wide range of courses. Many of my family friends were in the same college and it is the reason, why I did not think twice to get admission here.     The campus is too good with having all sports facilities and good infrastructure. The studying environment is also good with good faculty and good academic structure.     One needs to get exceptional percentile to get into a masters in this college. KJ Somaiya College of Engineering is one of the top 3 colleges of engineering in Mumbai.   • KJSCE is the most flexible institute you will come across

    The college will give you a lot of opportunity along with studies. KJSCE is not just about serious learning but will help you develop a personality that will make you confident. Placements will be done in your dream companies and the packages that you will have will also be a dream package.
