Review about Ramaiah Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
Ramaiah Institute of Technology is located in North Bangalore. It is one of the best Engineering Colleges in Karnataka offering variety of courses all across different fields. Great exposure to learning new things and highly qualified faculty makes it one of the best colleges to go for. It ranks at third in Karnataka alone.
 

Academics Rating
You need have a minimum of 3000-4000 rank depending on the cut off on the said year in either KCET or COMEDK. That rank would guarantee you some course in the college. You would need >300 rank for core CSE. Caste benefits can be availed at the time of admission and while applying for these exams.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is well spoken and comes from good institutes with great experience. They have good knowledge of their respective subjects and are always helpful regarding doubts. The method of teaching is always direct and easy to understand. They use more interactive ways to get the entire class involved including group discussions, etc.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cells are fairly useful for getting jobs. If you maintain above a certain GPA every semester then you will be eligible for campus placements.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Academic blocks are well maintained as well as the campus all round. There are always ongoing construction throughout the campus improving the infrastructure and locality around it. Amenities such as Libraries, Gyms, etc. are also well equipped with latest books and equipments. Various other facilities are also available in the college to make the campus life much easier and hassle free for students.
 

Campus Rating
There are tech fests from time to time and there is a cultural fest known as Udbhav that is organised once a year and it is amazing. Campus life is amazing and people from all over India come to the college so it’s always easier to make new friends. many clubs are mainly run by the students itself such as e-cell, astroclub, etc. which have their own respective interview process to get in.

    The major reason for choosing Ramaiah Institute of Technology is my interest in Chemistry and my COMEDK rank. The curriculum is very strict, leaving little room for other activities.     I gave many exams such as JEE, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, VITEEE, etc. I got decent scores in them but none of them could get me CSE in a tier 1 institute. Currently I am in my 3rd semester. Until now, my overall experience has been great with the institute. The campus is only 16 acres but it is beautiful and infrastructure is great.     I am actually happy and satisfied coming to RIT, my overall experience has been good in the last one year. Being from Northern India, I have not faced any discrimination. The faculty and staff are very helpful and generous, and the placement is on the good side of the spectrum.     My overall experience in this institute has been pretty decent. I found the campus life to be interesting. The infrastructure is well-developed but not as developed as IITs, NITs or any other well-known private colleges. Coming to the academics, the curriculum is updated every year.
