An overview of RNS Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
This institute is well known for good placements and excellent faculty members. The campus is quite large, airy and usually buzzing with activity. There's a good mix of academics, sports and co-curricular activities throughout the academic year.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing my bachelor's degree in Information Science and Engineering. You can get into the institute by giving entrance exams like KCET, COMEDK or even through Management Quota. For more information regarding the qualifying ranks you can look into the official website of the institute. Usually Information Science is same as Computer Science. It has the same subjects and projects. As the number of admissions for Computer Science is limited there is a new branch called Information Science and Engineering.
 

Faculty Rating
The professors are well qualified to teach the students of all the four years. Most of them have Ph.D. They teach very well, both practically and logically. First year goes cycle wise, Physics and Chemistry cycle and it's almost same for all the branches.
 

Placement Rating
As I am in first year, I do not have any exact information about placements as it keeps differing from year to year.
 

Hostel Rating
I'm a resident of Bangalore so I live at my parent’s house. Even though I have no idea about hostel but still I can tell it is decent for accommodation.
 

Infrastructure Rating
RNSIT is known for its infrastructure as they have very good buildings, front gates, temples, and a very large garden in the middle of the campus. Each branch has its own building and has very big grounds, a library and even food court is quite better than other colleges.
 

Campus Rating
To be honest I love the campus life. College conducts fests regularly and as we also have MBA, BBA, MCA, and many other courses offered in the college, we can attend their fests also. We celebrate Karnataka Rajyothsava and Pantheon fest very grandly and enjoy so much there. Coming to clubs there is RSC which is the sports club, Aura which is the fashion club, Natarang which is classical dance club, Aakrit the drama club, Enlighten Era the English club, Chiranuthana the kannada club and many more.

    I joined RNS IT through KCET merit FOR EEE branch. RNS IT is best suited for great learning accompanied with discipline and engaging in curricular activities.     The college is really good. The teaching faculty is well experienced and the infrastructure is well built. They not only support students in academics but also provide them with facilities for sports and extracurricular activities. It is also located in a decent area not far away from Bangalore.     I came to RNSIT through COMEDK exam and I got to know about this institute through one of my friend and I was actually considering his advice to continue here. My personal experience has been great in RNSIT as they not only focus on academic activities but also on extracurricular activities for overall development of students and comparing to other institutions the work life balance is very well catered here.     I got admission through management seat. I checked the details of the college from the website and asked other students. My parents investigated about the college and we got nice reviews about the college. Then finally I visited the college campus and faculty members and liked it.
