My Opinion on BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology

Overall Rating
I got admission in this institute through WBJEE counseling. This institute is also suitable for me because it is close to my hometown. I recommended BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology to the people who want to pursue the Engineering degree. In Engineering, there are 4 branches available here which are CSE, IT, ECE and EE.
 

Academics Rating
I am a B.Tech 2nd year student of Electrical Engineering branch. It is a tough stream but also very interesting. Eligibility criteria for the admission include getting minimum 60% mark in 12th grade in PCM stream and good rand in WEBJEE entrance exam. It is affiliated by MAKAUT which is also known as WBUT.
 

Faculty Rating
Our institute has highly qualified faculty members that have completed their relevant education from IITs of the country. They are very beneficial and have fruitful behavior for us. They teach us in a very good way. They are always available to clear the doubts of the students.
 

Placement Rating
Yes our institute has placement cell in C block. Every year many companies like Accenture, Cognizant(Main Recruiter), Infosys, TCS, Amazon, Laarson, IBM and other 30+ companies visit institute for campus drive. Average package that is offered in the recruitment is 11 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Our institute has hostels but these hostels are not inside the campus premises. The food of hostel is average. It also has Wi-Fi.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our Institute has three academic blocks. A Block is for all first year students of all departments. B blocks for all 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students for ECE and EE branch and C block for all 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students for IT and CSE branch. Though the campus doesn’t has the playground, it provides the facilities for the indoor games like table tennis, carom, etc.
 

Campus Rating
Our institute campus is compact. Our institute organizes technical and cultural fest each year and an annual fest once in 4 years.
