An honest review of BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology.

Overall Rating
The college is affiliated to MAKAUT like most of the B.Tech colleges in Kolkata. It is a decent college to complete your B.Tech degree from. If you haven't scored well enough in your joint entrance examination but still want to somehow get the degree and are willing to work on your skills to land a good job then this Institute is for you.
 

Academics Rating
If you have a WBJEE rank between 10000 -22000, then you are eligible for admission in CSE branch. The college is affiliated to MAKAUT, so the course is same like most of the Institutes in Kolkata. If you are lucky enough then you can just go through the organisers and you can score a very decent CGPA of 7.5+ easily.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty that I came across is very good in their domain and I loved their teaching style. Obviously there are some exceptions but most of them are very good. They are all have completed their Masters or Ph.D degree from well known Institutes around India. The faculty that I got in my 1st year of college especially is extremely supportive.
 

Placement Rating
As I am currently in 3rd semester so I can't tell much about the placements. As far as I know from other seniors, our college has a placement cell which helps us in getting a decent job.
 

Hostel Rating
There are no residential facilities within the college but there will be no problem of hostels here. You can get flat or hostels very easily with mess facilities within 500 meter of range.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 3 buildings in our college. Labs and Libraries are decent enough. The infrastructure can be improved and the institute does not allow you to borrow a book that is not part of your curricular.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life here is below average as there’s no place to roam around. The campus life is mediocre. The main Fest organsied by the college is called ''ELIXIR''. It happens once in every 3 years. For me, I haven’t witnessed it yet. Other than that there are some other fests like tech fest which are decent enough.

    I took admission in this institute last year through WEBJEE counseling. The institute is suitable for me because it is close from my home. I recommended the students who want to pursue Engineering degree in this institute. There are 4 branches available here in that institute CSE, EE, IT and ECE. The institute is very beautiful....
