BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology

The Training & Placement Cell is present at the Institute which is working with the aim to offer job opportunities to the students. Infosys, Accenture, HCL, Deloitte, TCS, Genpact, Capgemini, Bosch, Wipro, BSNL, Reliance, Bandhan Bank, Mindtree, ITC Infotech, Microsoft, Amazon, and others are the recruiters of the Institute.

The BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology Campus is huge and has multiple advanced & modern amenities to make the academic life of the students memorable and convenient. Inside the Wi-Fi enabled campus, students are offered learning in the audio-visual classrooms.

Tutorial rooms, Drawing halls, Interview Panel rooms, Board rooms, and others are also available inside the Institute with adequate facilities.

Consider the following pointers to know about the amenities students can access at the Institute’s campus:

• Library: A central library equipped with several resources like books, magazines, National & International journals, periodicals, newspapers, and so on is present. A multimedia facility is available at the library for the students to access online resources.
  An air-conditioned reading room with capacity of around 120 students is present. Other facilities include lending rooms, photocopy services, printing & scanning, and so on. Departmental libraries are also available at the campus for the students to access their respective discipline reading materials.
• Laboratories: Computer Centers and Labs are available inside the Institute’s campus with updated systems which are connected with LAN. Besides this, the campus includes departmental laboratories with adequate equipment to conduct practicals such as:
  • Basic Electrical Engineering Laboratory
  • Control System Laboratory
  • Power System Laboratory
  • Project and Research Laboratory
• Auditorium: An ICT-enabled auditorium is set up at the BPPIMT Kolkata campus. Here, around 600 students can be seated at a time.
• Seminar Hall: Multiple seminar halls with adequate seating arrangement are used by the Institute to organise several seminars, sessions, and other curricular activities.
• Conference Hall: Inside the Institute’s campus, conference rooms in multiple departments have been set up to conduct several meetings, conferences, and other sessions.
• Cafeteria: At reasonable prices food & beverages are provided to the students by the 2 canteen available at the Institute’s campus. Both the canteens have seating space for the students. Also, RO drinking water facility is available for the students.
• Hostel: BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology Hostel facilities for both boys and girls are available in tie-up with the 3^rd party. Rooms with basic facilities in multiple occupancies are allotted to the students at the hostels. Along with this, at the hostels, students get amenities like food, Wi-Fi, indoor games, medical, CCTV, laundry, and the list goes on with many others.
• Sports: Separate indoor games facilities for male & female students are available in the campus for sports like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, and others. Also, outdoor sports facilities are offered by the Institute at the NKDA Stadium.
• Medical Facilities: A sick room is present within the BP Poddar Institute of Management and Technology Kolkata campus with facilities like beds, first aid, and others to facilitate medical assistance to the students.
  Also, a doctor and counsellor visit the Institute once a week to offer medical support to the students. On-call ambulances are available to transfer students to the nearby hospitals in case of emergencies.
