Before you apply for this college, please read my review carefully. A low Comed-K score will help you take admissions at SJBIT. I already knew that teaching is not that good, but college placements are good. I wish I could see that person again because a half-truth is even worse than a lie. Fees was Rs. 1.5 lakhs per annum during our time. Apart from that we had to pay 35k extra for HRD which we were not informed earlier. This was not for the 1st year but we had to pay it for all 4 years. Coming from a middle-class family, I only know how my parents managed the fees. I was surprised when I saw that SJBIT is NAAC 'A' credited. All the college students know the truth how this college operates as they are good at just one thing and that is imposing fine.

The worst part of my review will be academic. If you come late to the class, you will have to pay a fine. Attendance of 85% is compulsory and if the teachers come late, it's quite ok but if by chance a student enters the class late, he is gone. The portions were completed well within the time because the professors would just keep turning the slides and at the end will ask us, everything clear. Is this how a college that is A credited operates?

Wow, I am loving writing about them. I am short of words because one way of taking a fine from the students was that someone else will take someone else's lecture and we will be marked absent in the actual lecture that was supposed to be taken. Thus, your attendance will automatically fall under 85% and when you go to take your admit card they will first hand you your fine receipt and only after you pay that, you will get your admit card. Is there any place on earth where you have seen such things? I haven't, and when I complained about this to the HOD, she said; why you come to our state for studies, go back to your state and study. If you are an outsider, please don't ever come to this college.

For placement, we had to pay a fee of 10k again, and if you refuse to pay that, they will say you will not get placed. Even after paying that fees, the placement rate was just 40%. Only the 2-tier software companies came for placements and offered engineers jobs worth 15-20 thousand. I consider myself lucky that I didn't get the job or else I might have taken that. College makes a lot of money but providing placements to the students they feel is not their job. They took our 10k for getting us trained and in training ran a YouTube program and told us to ask if any doubts. Shame of SJBIT for fooling the students.

There were 2 boys and 2 girls' hostel inside the campus. One was 3-seater rooms and the other one was 2-seater rooms. The hostel was good but how can everything be good at the hostel. The other part of the hostel, which is the food was worse that criminals might be offered in jails. Rasam Rice was every day meal and in breakfast Upma and Uttapam were the only two things we were offered on all 7 days. The college has a canteen but it is so expensive that your entire pocket money will be finished in a week, if you eat at the college cafeteria. Hostel had their own indoor and outdoor sporting facilities and hostel was always surrounded by guards.

SJBIT is a little far from the main city, but the campus is beautiful. There are 10 plus buildings and all the buildings were well maintained. The buildings had the nicest classrooms, washrooms, and drinking water facilities on each level. The hostel library was just too good and had books that made me prepare for GATE exams. The college has nice indoor and outdoor sporting facilities. Girls had their own badminton and basketball courts, and playground was divided in timings in which boys and girls can play their sports. The college had one canteen and one cafeteria, and though expensive the food was better. The college has spent all our fines and fees in building a world-class infrastructure.

Every day I thought of quitting because I had horrible experiences one after the other almost daily. There were hardly students from my state, and was many times zeroed down because of that. I had the worst campus life experience at SJBIT as going back to the college after vacations like going back to prison after parole.
