My Life in VJEC, Kannur

Overall Rating
VJEC provides good quality education. We have anti ragging campus which promotes equality on the bases of gender caste and religion and there is no politics inside campus. Facilities like filtered water, canteens, proper sanitations, printing shops and hostels are inside the campus itself. It also provides scholarships to the students. There are some cons too, for example, less experienced faculty, frequent examination, hectic schedule due to timings and lesser events.
 

Academics Rating
We have different streams in Engineering like Computer Science, Electrical, Electronical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security. Students need to complete 10+2 with PCM with a score of 50% or above and then qualify the competitive exams like JEE and KEAM to get admission in this college. There is also reservation of seats for management and NRI quota.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are supportive, well behaved and friendly. Some of them have a great knowledge in subject but all of them put great effort to teach us. They provide notes through online and offline mode which decrease the workload of students.
 

Placement Rating
College provides placement and training once in a year to the second year students. In our department, 85% of students got campus placement with a starting salary of 30LPA. The placement partners of the college are Amazon, Federal Bank and other reputed companies. Although, all these stats vary from year to year.
 

Hostel Rating
We have 4 hostels in the college for girls and boys separately. Food is well hygienically prepared. Also rooms are well cleaned. There is good discipline in the college also. Some of the other facilities of the college include Filtered hot and cool water, sanitary pad vending machine, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have 3 buildings for college. There are big library, 2 canteens (from where we can buy good hygienic food) and many other amenities for us to comfortably study. Transportation system of college include 12 buses for day scholars in different routes.
 

Campus Rating
We have a musical club, sports team, etc. Events like 'Techfest' and Arts are conducted in the college from time to time.

    I came to Vimal Jyothi Engineering College hoping to grow as a very good engineer and after coming here I was convinced that I can. This college is the most apt engineering college as it focuses mainly on studies.     Academically and fun wise the college is an extra ordinary college. This college is situated in Kannur at Chemberi. The college consists of B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and German courses.
