One thing common in Gulf countries oil companies and Karnataka's engineering colleges is that you will find many Malayali people at both places. The reason is the same that there are hardly any good colleges in Kerala and probably no jobs for engineers in Kerala. MIT is simply the best as one can have an amazing college life. The clubs are like anything as you will have clubs for everything and anything. Students are free to start their own clubs if they could have the sign of 20 students. The college will officially declare you as a new club of the college. The campus is beautiful and breathtaking. As long as I was at MIT, I never knew that the outside world was cruel because everything is so good at MIT. If I have to name one, the only problem is that students who enroll here are the ones who give donations and join the college. Thus, the quality of students in terms of educational background is little poor.

What one knows is that there are beaches and mountains close to Manipal. However, there are a lot of industries close to Manipal as well. Companies like BHEL, and NTPC have their plants close to Manipal, and that is where we were provided industrial training. Capital Goods is the sector for mechanical students for those who don't want to hear the noise of machines all day long. The college gave us ample exposure and learning during training and practicals than in the classrooms.

Faculty were more like they were happy with their jobs and avoided hand handling to a certain extent. It's fair in a way that classrooms had ample time to ask whatever we wanted, and beyond that, everyone has their life. Some can call them rude, while some wise. I will choose the later adjective as they were all quite knowledgeable people and in one word will tell us what we are supposed to do. Work more and talk less was their way to go, and maybe their hands were tied by the management, it seemed. Whatever it was, they were proficient in their job of teaching as the passing percentage here is quite high, and for that reason, one can credit the college faculty.

One will find mechanical students working in IT companies but if you don't want that then you should choose MIT as students here get core jobs. Companies like TELCO, ABB, General Motors, and L&T will be added to your profile, if you pursue M.Tech from MIT. The placement percentage was high, and so were the packages that were offered. The average was around 7 Lakhs and it went all the way to Rs. 29 LPA for one of the students. The placement cell notes students' wishes and helps in every possible way to get students placed with their desired expertise. Thus, students can get the jobs that they always wanted with MIT.

There are over 20 hostels for boys and girls. The hostels are outstanding as hostels are divided exceptionally well. There's a hostel for PG students and another hostel for PG students that need a single room. The same goes for UG students as well. There's no ragging allowed, and seniors can't use their seniority on juniors in any form. If caught, the students doing such things are not just rusticated from the hostel but college as well. Cat and mouse was always on at the hostel as strength was high and the playing area was less. Those who occupy first go on until they are done with their match. Food was nice, and night canteens were running at the campus, so those who relish on their food will be spoilt for choices.

The campus is quite big and has many academies as well as administration blocks. The college has a food mall along with multiple canteens. All residential blocks are inside the campus and there's a shopping plaza inside the campus. Places like Coorg, Belgaum, and Goa are nearby and used to be best weekend getaway. The campus is mesmerizing in true sense and something that was always full of color. Sports ground was never empty as in day time, there were day tournaments and at night, night tournaments.

It is rightly said that one learns the most once they step out of their house. Going to other state and in a campus that has students from all over the country was definitely a nice place to be in. The campus was always loud and cheerful. One more cons that I would like to attach with my review is that don't take admissions here or else you will miss the MIT campus like hell later.
