My overall experience at Vel Tech Dr. RR & Dr. SR University

Overall Rating
The campus ambience is really great and amazing. The campus has a great land area. My first choice is Computer Science and this university offers a wide range of excellent faculties in particular field of study.
 

Academics Rating
The course is of whole 4 year tenure and has 8 semesters in it. One has to pass the Vel Tech University level exam in order to get admission and also should have a nice merit score in intermediate level to get admission in the Vel Tech University. My motive was clear to get degree in B.Tech course in field of Computer Science specifically.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here is active and supportive. teaching a large sum of 60 students at a time is not a minute thing, still they manages to reach us in a most reliable manner so that every student can understand the key concept the faculty is trying to explain.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell offers high placement packages from the recruiters.
 

Hostel Rating
There is in campus hostel facility available.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The whole area of our campus is about 66 acres and it has all the basic amenities available which a professional college needed to have like the courts of different sports, complexes, playing area, parking area, different canteens, Wi-Fi facilities, projectors are used in our classrooms, and AC is also available which make us comfortable.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is really amazing and interesting. I celebrate every festival here happily with all my classmates and friends together, this creates a sense of togetherness and belongingness in each other. In this way we learn and to get to know about each other's culture and traditions and we also balance our academic life with practical world too.

    I am student of Electronic and Communication branch of my college. Vel Tech University is located in outer side of Chennai. My college is overall 7 out of 10. There are many pros and cons of college Here faculty are very biased with people. It depends upon your spoken language and behavior like I am person who come from north Indian state so I faced a lot problem initially but if you catch up with it you can go for this college. I wish that the academics could be developed for Mechanical and Civil Engineering.     Vel tech University has ranked 86th in the NIRF. It is an institute in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. They have all the courses and degrees like B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, Ph.D, etc. The campus is great but overall, its average due to management change and rules being stricter.... Read Full Review
