Loyola College: One of the best colleges in India.

Overall Rating
Loyola college is arguably one of the best colleges in India with a top-notch infrastructure, faculties, ambience, and well rounded classmates. The institution has always (in the past 6 years) found a place in the top 10 in terms of the NFRA ranking. The institution is also renowned for its achievements in sports and extra-curricular activities. Overall, it is a place to build your personality and gain immense knowledge from the courses offered.
 

Academics Rating
I pursue B.com (Honors) which forms part of Loyola International Academic Collaboration (LIAC). LIAC has four courses and each one of these has an international course integrated with the syllabus (for B.com (Hons), it's ACCA). The course offers a 9 paper exemption in the 13 paper ACCA course. The selection process has two stages (not applicable for non-LIAC courses). The aptitude test and an interview. People who prefer taking ACCA as their profession would usually opt for this course.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties of this department are well-versed in their own fields, but the fact is that the teachers are often assigned other subjects on which they have "zero" knowledge. They end up reading what is given in the materials. ACCA papers have external faculties who offer state-of-the-art knowledge in those fields. The teachers also show bad attitude when things don't go in the way they prefer.
 

Placement Rating
Loyola college has always been a preferable spot for MNC’s as it is one of the best colleges in the country. The LIAC courses, especially have a better say in the college placements due to their integrated curriculum. Top companies offer good packages and the placement cell has a well established framework to ensure smooth fill-in processes.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel is huge, offering nutritious food, good infrastructure at a comparatively affordable price. There are various events that keep the hostellers active throughout the year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is brilliant with a large collection of books and access to digital library. The campus has 3 canteens and offers multiple variety of food. The college has bike parking facility, playfields, ATM, post office and an easy access for day scholars primarily because of its central location in the city.
 

Campus Rating
The college hosts a mega cultural event every year named, "Ovations" which offers a place to showcase your talents. For sportspersons, the college hosts "Bertram Tournament" every year. It takes part in various competitions across the country. The societies, fests and gatherings promote holistic development in the lives of each student.
