I chose Loyola College for its reputation, placement opportunities with top companies and its affordability. The college provides a lot of facilities at low fees. The fee for shift 1 varies between 9000-13000 per semester so it is so affordable and students can focus on completing other professional courses like CA, CMA, ACCA, CFA and others with less financial burden.

The college focuses mainly on academics. Students are selected based on their marks secured in 12th board exams. Only student with top CGPA are admitted into the college. It is one of the in-demand courses in Loyola College so completing B.Com in Loyola College is more worth than other colleges. There are three exams in a semester, two internal exams and a main exam. The internal exams combined carry a weightage of 50% and the main examination carries 50% for the semester. It is easy to pass with this academic structure as the 50 marks from the internal exams include 20 marks of assignment.

The faculties of the college are well qualified with Ph.D and are well experienced. Most of the professors teach so well though some does not have a complete knowledge of the subject so the concepts are not clearly explained. Professors provide assignments that improve the students' public speaking ability and presentation skills.

We get placement in our 4th semester and 6th semester. Loyola College provides placement opportunities from top companies like Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, EY, KPMG and others. The average package offered is 6LPA.

The college has residential facilities for students. The food and room in the hostel are of good quality.

There are buildings for each department. The classes in the buildings are spacious to hold nearly 80 students. There is a library in our college with nearly 1 lakh books. Students have the freedom to use these books at free of cost. There are canteens, stationery shops and printing shops inside the campus. There are grounds to play volleyball, football, cricket, basketball and others inside the college. Students are allowed to use any of these grounds.

The college conducts three main events in a year. One is intra departmental festival where students from same department compete against each other in different events. One is inter departmental where students represent their department and compete against each other. The last one is conducted for students from other colleges where different departments hold events. There are also celebrations during Christmas and Pongal. It also conducts sports day every year. Students are to complete 60 hours in any of the clubs present in the college. Students should complete 90 hours of social service to get their degree. There are also clubs for NCC, Army, Navy and Air force in the college.
