Review on Sharavathi Dental College.

Overall Rating
If you are looking to get into this college, you might be considering the location, internship, patient inflow and fests. Well, the location is very good. Situated a little far from city, but still gets the most patient inflow in shivamogga, because the patients from McGann (government hospital) are also referred here for further treatment. During internship you get paid 2000rs. Per month. As for the fests, yearly fest is being conducted along with other celebrations.
 

Academics Rating
The course is a 5 year long course, 4 years of studying and one year of paid internship. The first two years we are taught the basics of the course and practical knowledge. From third year, department postings begins. The entry is done through NEET exam, and minimum of 400 marks is required to get in government quota.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty here is very well in their respective fields. They are all from reputed colleges. They are very friendly and very practical oriented which is beneficial for our course. They help us wherever we get stuck in academics. Teaching style of each faculty differs from person to person.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is very well maintained, the college and hospital both being in one building brings out the most. With very well equipped dental equipments, every department is well maintained. There are separate labs for 1st year courses. We do have a football ground too.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very good here. With lush green environment, it's a perfect scenic kind of spot for enjoying after class. An yearly fest is organised for minimum 10 days. Other than this, other festivals are also celebrated here.

    Overall speaking, SDC is very good. In Shimoga, there are only two colleges. Out of these two, Sharavathi Dental College and Hospital receives maximum number of patients. Transportation facilities are also provided by the college which is very useful. The college environment is subtle. The greenery by far is the best thing about this college.... Read Full Review

    SDC has good infrastructure, with average teaching equipment. Good environment is also provided for studies in this college. Co-curricular activities are given same importance as academics.
