At JIMS teachers are highly interactive and helpful. College management is good and very cooperative. Admissions may be simple, but things get a little complex post that. You will be compulsorily doing projects after projects, and BBA will much like MBA. For internship too, the college is not restricted till Delhi as I was placed for internship at Panalpina Mumbai. Placements were still low, but it wasn't just about the placements, as JIMS was life in itself. The fees structure of JIMS was still affordable because if one looks at the private universities of NCR, they are way too expensive and don't even provide 10% of the exposure that JIMS provides. So, in my view, JIMS was overall good for studies and even better to have some fun in life.

After clearing a highly competitive entrance exam, I joined my Bachelor of Business Administration program. B.Com looked like an ordinary course and that was the sheer reason I chose BBA. The subjects and studies were as per my expectations. I enjoyed studying almost all the subjects. The good part about this course was they gave you a lot of practical knowledge. They even take you on trips to learn more about the course. They take you to Goa, Chandigarh, Kurukshetra, and Jim Corbett. We visited the film city in Goa, and it was a great experience. This course is very helpful in getting the job. In fact, BBA is a very demanding course currently.

There were around 30 faculties for my course. Thus, the ratio comes out to 1:6 as there were just 180 students for BBA. Overall, there were more than 70 faculties in my college. All of them were highly experienced. Most of the teachers were highly qualified, and a few of them had also done Ph.D. They provide quality education. If that's not enough, then JIMS, through guest faculty members, make student learn many life lessons. The college's faculty was still average, but they made it up by inviting business stalwarts for guest lectures.

We did not have a particular placement cell of the college. There was one teacher who used to look after the placement. The placement of our passed out batch was pretty average. Approximately 40% of students are placed in the various companies such as Cognizant, Accenture, and L&T. The average package during our year was 20k. Obviously, 20k was a joke, and from the 40% of the students who were placed, many of them whom I personally know have already left their jobs. As per parent's wish, I decided to pursue higher education as though my intention was not the job, but getting the best academic was always on the top of my priority list.

JIMS did not have a hostel as the campus is relatively small. Outsiders were hardly many, so those who were from other cities, used to stay in boys and girls PG available near the college. Rohini is a nice place to live as it is one of the least crowded areas of the college.

Jims campus was small but had enough facilities to keep the students lively all throughout. The entire campus was Wi-Fi, had security cameras all around. There’s an auditorium building that also had canteen and the library in it. The college does not have its own hostel, and that's an area where they can improve as today many colleges and universities have off-campus hostels. The college building is great, and there are many places close to the campus. Chalte-Firte Momos outlet was at a touching distance from the college. Hogwarts Café and Kake Da Hotel were other joints where one will find Jim's students during and after college hours. Jims is a self-sufficient college and has a Nescafe bar which remains the most crowded college area throughout the day. Jim’s infrastructure was well equipped that kept the campus alive all throughout.

Campus life was excellent. Students hardly had to do much as the teachers used to organize mid-week events like nukkad natak, debate competitions, and many more. The campus was full of colours as every festival celebrated in India was celebrated at Jim's campus. Jim’s is a good college, especially for BBA students. Students get good exposure there. Students are very interactive, and teachers are too. There are two fests which take place during the year, Oasis and Verve. Verve is the biggest event of the college, and every year many celebrities are invited to perform at the college fests.
