Acharya Narendra Dev College B.Sc Review By Sanskriti

Acharya Narendra Dev College is a renowned part of University of Delhi. It’s a Science college offering quality education at an affordable fee structure. I chose the college because of the above-mentioned qualities. There is also a scholarship for the students making access to education more cost effective. I was a B.Sc Zoology Hons. student and I was awarded ‘Krishna Toteja Memorial Scholarship’ worth Rs. 6000/- in my 2nd year.

Earlier, admissions were based on class 12th marks and Delhi University’s entrance exam; now only CUET marks are considered for admission. Students who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the 12th grade are eligible to take admission in this course. This college is specifically a Science college offering almost every Science course and has NAAC 'A' accreditation along with DBT star college status.

The college is best known for its distinguished faculty, every teacher is expert in his / her subject. Plus point for Zoology students is that the Principal of the college Mr. Ravi Toteja is also a Zoology faculty member who takes the Cell Biology practical classes. For every subject, there are 2 teachers who aid in the timely and effective completion of syllabus.

There is an active Placement Cell that provides time to time placement information to the students and also organizes events with companies for the development of the students.

Many Delhi University colleges have hostel facilities, but Acharya Narendra Dev College doesn't have one, private accommodations are available around the College like PGs or rented apartments.

The college area is not that much; it's a small campus with good infrastructure facilities. There are separate labs for every department, also separate blocks for different departments. There is a library and reading room present in the campus. Different rooms are available for different societies. Washrooms are always neat and clean. Greenery is well maintained.

The campus life is calm yet informative. There is a good balance between studies and fun. There are many societies like dance, music, theater, environment, NSS, debate, art, etc. Every society organizes its own fest; also, every department has its club like Zoology department has Niche club and the fest is named as Symbiox which is organised every year. Also, Leiothrixx is the biggest Annual Fest of the college where many inter collegiate cultural competitions are held and celebrities are invited to perform. During the last year of my college famous Punjabi singer Karan Randhawa performed at our fest.
