Initially, I expected the College to be larger and possibly in a better location. However, after a few weeks or months, I started knowing everyone including classmates, faculty, and my department and I realised they are kind & helpful. The environment is peaceful, not crowded, which actually suits my introverted personality. In addition, the fest here was quite good and the dandiya night was the best, something like that from an off campus, College is quite unexpected.

Biomedical Science is a course that helps students understands how the human body works and how diseases affect it. It covers subjects like microbiology, biochemistry, and physiology, which build a strong foundation in medical science. To be eligible, students must complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Admission is usually based on merit or an entrance exam, depending on the institution. The examination system includes regular internal exams (almost in every month), along with practical assessments and semester exams. This keeps students engaged with their studies throughout the year. Apart from academic knowledge, the course also helps in developing important life skills like time management, critical thinking, and discipline. College societies and activities further improve communication skills, confidence, and teamwork.

The annual fee for my course is around Rs. 18,000/-, which is quite affordable. It mainly includes the tuition fee, covering classes and laboratory facilities. There may be minor additional charges for exams or other academic activities. Fee concessions are available for category students as per the Government rules. Scholarships are also provided based on merit or financial need, making the course accessible to many students. Overall, the fee structure is reasonable and student-friendly. At present, the fee for the new students is Rs. 28,669/-

The faculty members in my first year are quite good. Their profiles and resumes tell a lot about their studies, we have smart boards in classes and labs, and they teach us through PPTs, practicals, group discussions, etc. You can talk to any of them any time you feel like they will listen and help you so they are quite approachable like In just a year I have a good bonding with them.

The Placements of the Acharya Narendra Dev College, New Delhi are average.

The campus of ANDC New Delhi is quite small in size. However, it is very clean and well maintained. The campus has a lot of greenery, which makes the environment peaceful and pleasant. However, the College is located in Govindpuri, Delhi, which is not considered a very good location. The classrooms and laboratories are quite spacious, and there are several labs for different departments. The College has one seminar hall and one conference room, but there is no auditorium. The canteen offers a few food options. There is a small sports room, but it has facilities for different indoor games. Security is strict, as guards are always present at both gates and students are not allowed to enter without their ID cards. My favorite place in the College is the girls’ common room. It is usually very clean and peaceful, and you can even pray there without anyone objecting. In the Biomedical Science department, four laboratories are provided, each equipped with smart boards and all the necessary equipment. This helps students understand experiments and their procedures.

My College life on campus has been good so far, and I am really enjoying it. I am getting many opportunities that I always wanted. I also try to stay quite active in different activities. I also like the College crowd because it is very peaceful compared too many other DU Colleges. There are many societies and clubs such As Dance, Singing, Painting, Enactus, Debate, Urdu, and many others. I am a member of the Debating, Painting, Enactus, and Urdu societies. The fest this year was very surprising for me. I did not expect an off-campus College to organize something like that. The Dandiya night was the best part, and I enjoyed it a lot. The College also celebrates festivals from many different states, which makes the environment more lively and inclusive. Overall, I am enjoying my time here, and I hope you will too.
