Clinical exposure at Government Medical College

Overall Rating
Government medical College Thrissur is a prestigious institute affiliated with KUHS. Academically, this college is very advanced and we are getting proper clinical exposure, excellent faculty guidance. We have scrubs uniform here and they have an indoor stadium and gym.
 

Academics Rating
The MBBS course is of 5 years and the minimum eligibility to get admission in this college is to complete 12th and then qualify NEET examination. Your Kerala rank should be under 1000. In the first year, we have to wear a white coat and do dissections with cadavers and in the second year, we have to visit various clinics and interact with the patients then diagnose their disease. After the 4th year, we have to work as a doctor and for that we get a stipend of Rs.25, 000/- per month.
 

Faculty Rating
We have highly educated and empowering faculties in Government Medical College. They are very enthusiastic about teaching, and they are easily approachable. The faculties show special interest in research programs and conduct doubt clearing sessions and seminars also. Their method of teaching is very helpful to remember the important points and they have presentations for various topics in the classes. All the faculties are doctors and completed their Ph.D in their respective studies.
 

Placement Rating
Government Medical College offers placements in various clinics.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel life is supposed to be memorable, and we call our hostel “home away from home”. I am staying with 6 people in a room and have adequate facilities in the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The academic block as well as hospitals are in different buildings. The campus has around 476 classrooms and it also includes lecture hall, seminar hall, library, research center, monitoring room, office, faculty room, common room, etc. we have playgrounds such as Volleyball Court, Cricket Ground, Football Ground, Shuttle Court, well-furnished Indoor Stadium, etc. Additionally, there is a reading room and spaces to relax like Jibeesh Park, Triangle, Quadrangle, Maathan's Shop, Nila Shop, Canteen, HSQ, Cafe, etc.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is gorgeous, and we have 175 students in one classroom. There are many club activities that are conducted like girl Mythra Food Girl Empowerment, Can Club for Adventure, Red Cross for Drugs, etc. Moreover, many fests are organised for Arts and Sports. The graduation ceremony itself is a huge event in every medical College including this one.
