Academics in Government Medical College are very good. I chose this college because of its good academics and infrastructure as well as patient inflow. In addition, the faculty here is very good and well experienced. They also provide a variety of extracurricular activities. In our college, we have all the departments with good facilities.

The course consists of around 5.5 years. 4 years of course and 1 year of internship. There will be internship in all major and minor departments. We will have to score around 650 above in NEET in order to be allotted to this college. In addition, it would be better to get a rank within 450 in Kerala.

The faculty members here are doctors. They are well experienced. Apart from teaching, they provide mentorship to individual student. Their method of teaching is mainly through presentation, which is very good. Faculties provide us enough material for studies and give reference sources.

Government Medical College has a vast infrastructure. There are different buildings separate for academics even departments and hospitals. The hospital is too big, the patient inflow is too good, and we have our own special red zone in casualty. The academic block is separated from hospital. Therefore, we do not have other kind of disturbance during classes. Apart from academics, our college also provides facilities like GYM, indoor stadium, etc. There are night cafeterias to hang out.

Campus life is nice. Government Medical College also hosts various other programmes like arts sports. There are also various clubs like Punarjani and NSS. We also celebrate all the festivals like Onam and Christmas.
