Good Placements and strong Alumni Network

Overall Rating
MEC is one of the top colleges under IHRD. It has a strong Placement Cell and Training Cell. It offers B.Tech and M.Tech courses in various branches. Boys’ hostel and girls’ hostels facilities are really good, and a strong alumni network is there to sponsor the college amenities and guide students for placements and higher studies.
 

Academics Rating
Admissions to B.Tech courses are done through the KEAM exam and 10th and 12th marks are also considered. There are various B.Tech and M.Tech courses offered by Model Engineering College such as Computer Science, Computer Science and Business System, Electronics and Biomedical, Electronics and Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and VLS.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of this college are experienced and have relevant experience in the field of their respective departments. They stick to the syllabus which is career-oriented, and the emphasis is on self-study. Some teachers explain the concepts very well and give advice and tips on how to study properly. Whereas some teachers, though qualified, prefer to follow their method of teaching which might resonate with the students.
 

Placement Rating
A strong Placement Cell and Training Cell exists in our college which collaboratively conducts group discussions, mock interviews, aptitude tests, coding tests, mock placement drives, etc. Alumni network greatly contributes to the placement drives.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has average infrastructure. Bathrooms and drinking water facilities are available on each floor. Air conditioned laboratories and halls are present along with external auditorium, ground, and basketball and volleyball turf. The infrastructure has been improving lately thanks to alumni sponsorships. There is a lift which can be used by students and faculty.
 

Campus Rating
There are multiple clubs and societies within MEC through which various events are conducted every week. Excel is our national level tech fest that is held annually and the clubs in MEC include IEEE, FOSS, TBT (Literature club), BMA (Biomedical Association), Mixed Signals, GDC (Game Development Club), IEDC (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell), etc.

    From the very beginning, I started liking this college. The campus life is not that bad like the outsiders say. The faculties, staff and students all of them are good. The classes they are providing are nice. All the tests are conducted on time. I chose this college mainly because of the placements they are offering.     Overall, it's a good experience. The course curriculum is highly relevant to current standards and comprehensive in covering key skills and concepts. Equal priority is given to both theoretical and practical knowledge. The way they manage students and conduct exams is impressive. The college has very good placements and the fee is not that expensive. You can avail admission to this college by securing good marks in KEAM entrance examination conducted by Kerala government.     I chose MEC because of the placement, strong alumni and because it's in the heart of Kochi. The transportation to the college is super easy. Nearest metro station is Cusat metro station and Ernakulum south railway station is nearest railway station. Our college has various numbers of clubs.
