Supportive Placement Cell and good training

Overall Rating
GITAM was established in 1980 and is one of the most prestigious universities in Andhra Pradesh. It has 4 campuses in South India and one of which is located in Visakhapatnam. The campus infrastructure and environment are good, coming to the academics GITAM offers courses in different disciplines.
 

Academics Rating
Gitam offers courses in 12 disciplines which are: Engineering, Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Management, Science, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Para medical, physiotherapy, public policy, Architecture, etc. The Eligibility & entry requirements include a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA (55% in case of CBSE and ICSE) aggregate marks in intermediate from a recognized central / state board (except open schools) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics / Biology subjects and Qualified in GAT UG (Engineering) 2024. The duration of the test is 2 hours.
 

Faculty Rating
The university has well trained faculties in all disciplines with most of them being a Ph.D holder and some of them are M.Tech graduates. The faculty trains the students not only to crack the placement or jobs but also for competitive exams like GATE, GRE, CAT, MAT, UPSC and more to make the students achieve their goals.
 

Placement Rating
The university has an official placement called TCD (Training and Competency Development) and GCGC (Gitam Career Guidance Centre) which helps students in career opportunities.
 

Hostel Rating
The university has their own residential facilities available inside the campus and it has different hostels for both boys and girls. The hostels have facilities like 24x7 water, electricity, canteens, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
GITAM provides various facilities to their students like Hospitals, Fitness Centre (GYM), Library, sports, research labs, innovation center, cultural activities, recreational activities, special training like NCC, NSC and student clubs. The infrastructure is good and pleasant with many parks, canteens.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very good. The university has 26,000+ active students, 1,800+ teaching staff, 90,000+ alumni across 105 countries and 95%+ faculty with Ph.D in most disciplines. There are different student clubs and the university hosts fests like shore fest, GUSAC carnival, Home Coming, Tri Uni fest, Kalakriti fest, Rangasthalam event, etc.

    The campus life in GITAM is very vibrant as there is much freedom and no stress.     To describe the overall experience in one word, it would be ‘decent’. The University life has its ups and downs, and there are several faculties who are absolutely amazing at teaching their subjects, while others are average.     As a student I expected a lot from my college. Every student have these expectations from there college. At first I was preparing for JEE and all to get admission in IITs, but unfortunately I haven't made it. Still I was searching for college like that which can compete at that level. So why not GITAM.     I choose this university because of placement percentage. My university provide 80% placement. My university is good for all activities. For effective teaching they use digital classes. There is one indoor stadium and one outdoor stadium. There are several temples to visit in special occasion. For food there are several canteens like Vanilla which I like to visit twice a month....
