NIT Silchar Campus Size is Appromixately 625 Acres

National Institute of Technology, Silchar has one of the most beautiful and lush green campus across all NIT's in India. Infrastructure, faculty, facilities, academics, and classrooms are very well maintained. There is the campus of 625 acres with many different things around the whole institute. One of the most beautiful thing its 25 lakes and greenery across the campus, which adds to the glory of institute. I chose this institute because of good placements, peer groups, and reputation.

The academics of my institute are well organized and very good. My Course is Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering. For getting into this course, students will have to give one of the toughest exams India i.e. JEE Main. He/she should qualify this exam with good percentile. The eligibility criteria for getting into this course are based on category of candidates, girl’s quota, and home state quota too. The main motive to get enroll in this course is to develop the well-defined infrastructure in our country and give shapes with different models.

There are so many faculties in institutes for teaching this course. The faculties of our institute are well educated from top universities and institutes of India like IIT's. They are very much helpful in academics. If we have any doubts and concerns regarding subject, they clear it on the spot... Besides of academics, they also help us in our non-academics problems, teach us how to tackle with real life problems and motivate us to fight with them and move forward in life with hard work.

The placements of my institute are very good. It is all because of training & placement cell of my institute. It is really very helpful for students those who acquire jobs in different industries in different sector according to their capabilities and skills.

There are so many hostels in National Institute of Technology, Silchar. For freshers, there will be two hostels for boys and 1 hostel for girls. Boy’s hostel named as Aryabhatta Boys Hostel and BH-3. Girl’s hostel is named as Kalpana Chawla Girls hostel (GH-3). Hostel life is filled with fun and enjoyment. Infrastructure is well defined and organized with newly designed models. There 4 blocks of my hostel i.e. east, west, north & south blocks. Mess is situated in hostel as well. Mess food is on average level. Hostel is occupied with around 600 rooms with double and triple sharing rooms. In every room, there is tube light, bed, table, and chair provided for each student. Bathrooms are very well and clean, it is made from tiles.

Infrastructure is very well organized and developed among all NIT's across India. In our institute, there are total 6 branches for pursuing bachelor degree. Academics building are well designed and organized for different branches. Some of academics buildings are based on old design because they are old branches, which are running from many years. But, some of branches, which are added newly their buildings, are well developed with new design.

This is most interesting thing for me to give review. Campus life is very much good for students. Besides academics classes, students can also involve themselves in different sector for exploring their passions and interest. In our campus, there are so many clubs and society for exploring student’s talent in different sector. The clubs of our institutes are Machine Learning club, Coding Club, Photography clubs named as Obettivo, Music clubs named as Symphonits, Dance club named as Aaveg, E-Cell, Quiz club, and Illuminist that is for literary & poetry.
