My College Life in St. Stephen's College

Overall Rating
St. Stephen's College comes under the category of top colleges in University of Delhi. I chose this college because it is best for pursuing Pure Sciences. I am glad that I chose this college over others because it provides great exposure not only in academics but also in extra-curricular activities. You should definitely consider this college if you are planning to do your Bachelor’s in University of Delhi. The campus life is very wholesome and you get to learn many things from your friends also.
 

Academics Rating
I am studying B.Sc (Hons.) with Chemistry course in this college. Therefore, admissions take place of CUET score. The top rankers and scorers get admission in this college. I joined this course because I was very passionate in Chemistry and I wanted to study this subject further. The courses in this college are comparatively less. Like if you want to do Boom then that is not available in college. Economics Hons, Maths Hons, Physics, Chemistry, BA, etc. courses are available.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is very well educated. They are very passionate in teaching to students. They use presentations to teach students better way. I would say they go an extra mile to teach their subjects. All the professors have completed their PhD. They make the concepts very clear using their imaginations and through interactions with students.
 

Placement Rating
We have a campus placement cell of St. Stephen's College. It is very effective, efficient and it provides large number of opportunities to students. Highest package is 25 LPA, which is very good. The average package lies somewhere around 8-9 LPA. Most of the Economics and Math students who wish to have placement in very good companies.
 

Hostel Rating
We have six residences in college, three for boys, and three for girls. If you were going to come to this college, then I would say definitely apply to residence of college. There are multiple benefits of this. You live in college, you have to interact with your seniors, you have to learn many things and you get very much exposure being in college. Therefore, you should definitely apply to residence of college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of the college is very good. It is one of the biggest colleges of DU as it is spread over 60 acres of land. It is lush-green campus. You will always enjoy seeing the beauty of nature in college. Library is very good as you can sit and make your time productive when you are in college. College has multiple recreational spots, like a very good gym, junior combination room where students play Table Tennis, foosball, etc. It also has basketball court, football ground and other facilities.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very wholesome. You have every type of society in St. Stephen's College. For example, there are Debating Society, Northeast society, Social Service League, Music Society, and Choreography society. If you have interests in dance or music or anything else, it will be taken care through societies. College fest, which is called Harmony, happens usually in January and it is the best part of the year. This college is a Christian minority college. Christmas is celebrated in a very good way.

    Overall, St Stephens is among top colleges of DU as we have best infrastructure among all the DU colleges. Many famous people such as Sagarika Ghosh, Kapil Sibbal, and Sachin Pilot among others have studied here. Apart from it, the huge Alumni network comprising of prominent bureaucrats and policy makers of the country including S. Jaishankar, and Shashi Tharoor.
