My Journey in BITS Pilani Hyderabad

Overall Rating
My overall experience has been quite amazing so far. The facilities provided here are commendable. The faculty is supportive and helps regardless of the problem being academic or not. One of the major factors which made me choose this institute was its 0% attendance which gives its students flexibility to do better things rather than going to lectures just for the attendance.
 

Academics Rating
The course that I chose is M.Sc in Biological Sciences. It is an integrated course in which I would get a BE and M.Sc degree. The BE degree is based on the CGPA of the first year. For eligibility, one must pass BITSAT or SAT (for people without Indian citizenship) to get an admission in the institute. There are two major exams in a semester along with weekly graded tests
The fees are quite high, about Rs. 2,50,000 per semester, which increases by 10% every year. The institute provides scholarships to about 30% of students studying here.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is well qualified with internationally recognized degrees. They are also keen into research along with their passion for teaching. The method of teaching depends upon the requirements of the course. All the facilities are present and you'll never feel short of anything. Each of the faculty has specific chamber consultation hours where they help students with their doubts in the subject and resolve other related queries. The faculty members are really approachable and friendly.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell. It is really helpful for students to get jobs in their preferred domains. BITS has performed exceptionally well even during recessive placement season.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels in BITS are amazing. You’ll never feel short of nothing. The hygiene in hostels and campus is maintained well. There are separate girl’s and boy’s hostels. Mess food is good too, Hostel fee are to be paid half yearly. There is no in time in the hostels, we can stay out whole night if we want.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is huge and is spread out in about 200 acres, making it the second biggest of the BITS campuses. There is a military area around campus so is filled with dense forest spread across 5 km in radius. The classrooms are well equipped and have enough seating capacity. Library is my favorite place of all the other places in the academic block, it is really big and has the best facilities a library could have.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is the best I could ever get. Absence of hostel in time makes it more fun to roam around with friends in the campus, or to have late night jamming sessions with seniors, and what not. Life at is magical. The institute crowd is really amazing, people are friendly and supportive. There are many clubs and I am part of the entrepreneurship cell.

    BITS Hyderabad is an amazing Institute where I get to explore so many things and interact with like-minded people. It took me out of my comfort zone and challenged me in every step of campus life which helped to grow academically and personally.   • BITSAT: Entry Requirements and Counseling at BITS Hyderabad

    BITS Hyderabad present in the outskirts of Hyderabad is the best institute you can get in Hyderabad (after IIT & IIIT of course). I have felt that the culture here is amazing. It is probably the only engineering degree where innovation is pushed by means of student led startups, making the overall experience better.     The overall experience is great. It has great infrastructure and gated community. The factors made me to use BITS is its strong network, academic flexibility, strong club culture, and many more. The one unique to BITS is its practice school program, where a student is exposed to industry of minimum of 8 months through internship.
