Overall Rating
Hello! I am an alumni of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, School of Law. I have completed my bachelor in law degree this year. Honestly; I had an expended experience throughout my University. GGV is a central University in Chhattisgarh, situated at Bilaspur. It provides a beautiful eco-friendly ambience, a huge campus and great teaching faculty. Throughout my 5 years of degree I received great teaching faculty. Not to forget that GGV recently got A++ credential in NAAC. This added more to its value. Overall, it's a good University which provides great opportunities in future.
 

Academics Rating
Being a student of law it provided me various opportunities to excel in my field. There are different committees for legal aid, moot court, ADR and cultural. There are various seminars and competitions are conducted, to make you understand law and its practical application in life. I have always been a bright student, ready to grab opportunities. It also commissioned you to represent your University at the national level too.
Well as compared to the knowledge we get, the fee structure is bare minimum. I spent overall 25k-30k on my whole education. However, different courses have different fee structure. It's a central University, which adds to its charm. It provides scheme for financial aid from Government and Scholarship to reserved categories.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty selection is good. Mostly, we got faculties who were Assistant or Associate professors. Some were Adhoc too. They are kind and helpful. However; there can be still a scope for improvement, but it provides a good faculty. There are regular classes and academic life. The faculties are bind in a chain of network with upper authorities, which are ultimately managed by vice-chancellor itself. Overall it is good.
 

Placement Rating
As a law student, we received less placement opportunities. I have friends in corporate firms, who got selected out of their own source. However, the honorable High court of Chhattisgarh is also situated in Bilaspur, so one can also choose traditional advocacy.
 

Hostel Rating
There are two girl’s hostel and one boy’s hostel. I stayed outside in PG throughout my academics, but I had many friends in hostel. They said girl’s hostel is better than boy’s. It was cheap, food was great. The only problem they faced was regarding late entries and holidays.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is to die for. It has a huge campus of 600 acres. You can find central library, two canteens, Nescafe, Amul, hostels, meditation centre, etc. in the premises. The campus has been surrounded by lush green forest, ponds and temple. Each department has its own building. There is administrative block and an auditorium. The permanent faculty too lived inside the campus. It is very systematically divided and chained by roads which are surrounded by tree. However, it's difficult to walk everywhere as it is too big.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life provides joyful environment, various activities for extra-curriculum, different societies for different activities, like Tarang (band), Udaan (magazine), Abhinartak (dance) and what not. The NSS volunteering too. I also got fascinated by campus life in GGV. It provides various opportunities, that helps people to choose their own interest. Well we too have our own GGV Instagram handles to make campus life more popular. One can never miss, what's going on in the campus.

    If you got low rank in your entrance exam then you can choose this University. The fee structure is also affordable here. The locality is also good and the campus is huge. My experience at the University is average. The teachers teach us very well. Various facilities are also available at the campus. I would recommend others to take admission in this University....     I was preparing for NEET but unfortunately couldn't make it. I am from a biology background and am always interested in biology. I’m from Raipur, Chhattisgarh and Guru Ghasidas Visvidyalaya is the only Central University of Chhattisgarh. It is one of the few Central Universities which offers an undergraduate course in biotechnology (B.Sc Biotechnology Honours).   • GGU Bilaspur Placement Cell: How Effective it is

    My overall experience at this university is good quite. The environment is soothing and calm which provides a better way for studies. I have chosen this university as all the basics facilities which are required to be in a university are available here. Amenities like Playground, Central Library, Cafeteria and a lot more.     The thought initially that made me choose the institution when I enrolled for my undergraduate in 2020 was the faculty and the review of my seniors from school. I'm currently pursuing Masters and I'm in second year. My experience has been truly good. With minimum fee, you get good support from everywhere. Moreover, the department of English is well known for its experience faculties and their command on the subject. The campus is massive and filled with greenery and crowd is well managed. People...
