Choose IIIT Vadodara for Your B.Tech CSE

My overall experience has been good at IIIT Vadodara. I chose this institute because I was getting CSE branch in this institute with my JEE rank. Also, the environment of the institute is good, and the seniors and faculties are really helpful. The one thing which is unique about the institute is that even if it doesn't have a permanent campus, it offers an educational experience that is worth it, and all the students manage to take part in all the events and enjoy it.

This institute is good in academics as well. I chose the CSE branch and there were many subjects like Data Structures, Algorithms, OOPS, DBMS, System Software, Parallel Computing, and many more. In some semesters we got the choice of opting the course we wished to take the exam for. IIIT Vadodara offers admission to the students who get the cut off rank of JEE for its particular branch. I appeared for the JEE, and I got around AIR 13,000 and I got CSE branch here. There are different cut off ranks prescribed for every reserved category. There are 8 semesters, and each semester exam is conducted either through pen paper mode or online. The education we receive here prepared us for facing real life challenges like managing time and how to multitask. Through project works, we got to learn about effective teamwork & improved our skills.

The fee is quite high in this institute. Every semester differs little bit in fees. Average fees of all the semester are around Rs. 1, 15,000/-, Rs. 40,000/- for hostel fee and Rs. 20,000/- for the mess fee per semester. Institute semester fees include the admission fees, tuition fees, registration fees, exam fees, and transportation fees, etc. There is no specific discount on the fees. But students can take loan and also few students eligible for scholarships can avail such benefits.

Faculties are very supportive at IIIT Vadodara. All faculties are really knowledgeable in their own subject and their educational background is also strong. Most of the faculties teach us on PPTs and they also conduct lab sessions for their course so that students can have practical knowledge as well. They are open for group discussion and doubt solving. The problem-solving ability of each faculty is very unique and quite impressive, and we learn a lot from them. The teacher-student ratio is around 1:25 at IIIT Vadodara. My bonding with some of the faculties is very good.

Hostel facility is good. Hostel life is all about the people with whom you are living. The Institute has its own hostel. After 2nd year, students can also live in flats or PGs of their choice. Mess food is good, and different dishes are served daily. Hostel fees are around Rs. 40,000/- and mess fees is around Rs. 20, 000/-.

IIIT Vadodara doesn’t have its permanent campus yet but they are working on it and it will probably be ready by 2025. IIIT Vadodara’s temporary campus is in GEC, where they conduct classes and the space is good enough and sufficient. It also has a little library and medical facilities are also available. 2 canteens are present in the campus which serves tasty food. My favorite place in the institute is labs because it has a really peaceful atmosphere & we get to learn a lot of practical skills here.

Campus life is good here even if it doesn't have a permanent campus because it’s all about the people in the college. There is not much crowd at IIIT Vadodara; each year we have around 220 new students. There are many clubs like Dancing Club, Singing Club, Photography Club, Sports Club, Coding Club, and many more. I am part of the Singing and Photography Club. I also participated in many sports event as well during my institute life. I am very happy about my campus life I lived that to my fullest.
