VIPS-TC New Delhi is good Choice for B.A.LL.B Students

Hello, I am currently a third year law student at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, VSLLS. I took admission in the B.A.LL.B (H) five years integrated course, and this Institute was my first choice for the IPU after the University itself for my course. VIPS was a good choice because it has pretty well environment. Our seniors help us out during competitions and other extracurricular activities especially in my department as far as I have interacted they are helpful and understanding. Faculties are ready to provide student guidance with any matter in which students are facing any kind of difficulty. There are centralized societies for each department which is that the students can join according to their interests and choices. Students are required to maintain their attendance to take part in the Institute events in order to be a part of these societies.

I wanted to do law for which I have given CLAT exam. CLAT score is accepted by some Universities to take admission in their Institute for law courses and IPU is one of them. Whatever your score is that you will get the Institute according to your rank and marks. For VIPS there is a need to get a decent score. So as far as the exam pattern of the course is concerned there are two exams which are conducted per semester, one is internal and other one is external along with that you have other activities which you need to do for each subject just like assignments. They are different personality development activities.

For the fees of my course it is according to the IPU standards which changes with each batch and the fees in paid annually. There is no such special discount or scholarship which is provided by the Institute.

Faculty members of the Institute are experienced and quite a few of them are Ph.D holders or are doing their Ph.D. They are from renowned Universities. Teaching method of each teacher is different from one and another. Some prefer to use PPT's or PDF's or some uses to write and teach on board to make students understand. Group Discussion and student participation and being active in the class is one of the most important thing for each faculty specially in my course. I would definitely say that faculty is pretty approachable as far as my experience is concerned.

There is no hostel facility which is provided by the Institute but there is different accommodation and PG's which are present in the nearby areas for the students who are not from Delhi.

Infrastructure of VIPS is quite good but the campus is quite small as because there are different buildings or blocks in the campus for different departments. All blocks are well equipped with the spacious classrooms with centralized AC and clean washrooms for each floor. Independent library for each department, auditorium, hall, and a canteen, garden, ground, basketball court, medical room, and security is also quite good. My favorite spot of the Institute would definitely be the garden because the flowers present in the Institute garden is the most beautiful thing about the campus.

Overall experience I would say campus life is nice. Institute crowd is pretty much inclusive each and every type of students with whom you can chose to interact. There are centralized societies for each department or inter departmental clubs which are that the students can become part of. I am a part of many societies of my department as well. Different department of Institute have their annual fests in the Institute which are decent and you can attend them if you wish to.
