B.Com Fee Structure and Scholarships at SSMRV Bangalore

Overall this college, Sivananda Sarma Memorial RV Degree College is good for middle class family students. Personally I chose this college because I was doing additional CA course outside college. (though the college has professional course) As a person who had to attend professional class outside and also attend college classes, it would be hectic and attendance would be a major issue. My class teachers have been very supportive and they guided me throughout my journey. Despite not attending few degree classes they have given me attendance after submitting a letter for CA course. This doesn't mean you'll get to skip every class but the teachers are very supportive and can help you accordingly. College has many facilities including library, gym both of which are new. They have BBA Aviation course which is not available in many colleges. Most amazing part of the college is the Rotaract club. Joining the rotaract club has been one of the best decisions of my life. It improves your personality, boosts your confidence, and also helps you professionally. Since it is an international club, you meet great people and get to connect not only within our state, but other states and countries as well. Apart from this there are 30 other clubs, half of which are active. The only negative part of the college is that few students don't follow certain code of conduct. But overall it's a good college.

I've taken B.Com with diploma in data analytics at Sivananda Sarma Memorial RV Degree College. I took this course but my main motive is my professional course. So far it's been great. An eligibility criterion is 75% in 12th grade. Admission process goes really smooth. You will have a personal interview where they enquire about you, what you can give back to the college, your hobbies, they'll basically test your ability to speak with confidence. Frequency of exams is high. They give 2-3 unit tests preparatory. There are also presentations, seminars that you'll have to present. Writing of assignments is as usual. Academics depend on the course of your choice. If you really want it to help with real life challenges then you have to do something extracurricular, especially for B.Com. The teachers have good knowledge in general as well. They're nice and supportive but again it depends on your behavior in their class. They do clear doubts and everything if you approach them. Overall it's good.

Fee structure for B.Com at Sivananda Sarma Memorial RV Degree College is around Rs. 70k per year. They have a uniform for every alternative day for which we have to pay Rs. 6k separately. They provide a blazer, 2 t-shirts, 1 pant, and footwear. Stitching according to your size is provided by the college itself. Apart from this they do provide scholarship aids. I got Rs. 10k scholarship since I had scored around 93 in my PUC. Financial aids are available. I'm not sure about the details but it is there.

Like I mentioned previously faculty is good. For particular subjects they are really good. Very supportive towards the students as well. Most of them have very good degrees including Ph.D as well. Faculty members are trained. Problem solving abilities are also good. They have additional knowledge apart from the academic portions. I'm not really sure about the teacher student ratio but they have sufficient staff. Bonding with the faculty members is actually good but then it again depends on the individual person. Teachers are friendly. Most of the teachers are approachable. Co-coordinators are strict, but friendly when needed. There are blackboard and projectors. Group discussions are open.

I'm not really sure about the placements since I'm still in the 2nd year. But I've heard from seniors that the placements are good. They're not great but it is good. It depends on your skills, knowledge and personality. Packages go up to 4 LPA. There are many pass out students who are in great positions in their life right now. It totally depends on you I'd say.

There's no hostel inside the campus.

Campus size at Sivananda Sarma Memorial RV Degree College is not that big but they have one block for degree, one for management and one for PU. Classroom sizes are average not too big but sufficient for 80-100 people. Library, seminar halls, computer lab, business lab, auditorium, quadrangle space, and a ground is there. Like mentioned canteen is not that nice. Price is reasonable only but I personally think it's not worth it. Few chats are great but the rest is not good. They have many sports like cricket, basketball, badminton, throwball, kho-kho, chess, carom, etc. Table tennis isn't active. Medical facility is there. Transportation for degree isn't there. Security facilities are available. There are cameras everywhere. Washrooms are mostly clean. They have pad vending machines for girls. Water facility and everything is good. There is small seating here and there around the college which is my favorite part. Great for having lunch during breaks. The library has good books but related to academics. It's difficult to get books during exam times as it is limited. Overall infrastructure is good. I wouldn't say it's the best but it's sufficient. There is a canteen. Food is not that great but I think they might introduce additional items in the menu.

Overall campus life in Sivananda Sarma Memorial RV Degree College is good if you make good friends. People in my branch are not that great I feel. But I met amazing people in Rotaract. You can socialize with other branch students over there. There are around 30 clubs, not all of them are active but half of them are. I'd say the best club is Rotaract. The combination of the entire 30 clubs experience you can get in Rotaract. Fests and events are not very often organized but they do organize events. Festivals like Garba, Sankranti, Onam, Annual Day, Rajyotsava, etc. are celebrated. There are fests like Literary Fests, RV Infinity Fest, Yuva Fest, etc. College crowd is pretty good. There are around 400 students just in B.Com. Overall experience is good. I didn't really like our particular class but people from other branches are great.
