St. Xavier's University: Expert Guidance and Supportive Learning

Overall Rating
St. Xavier's University not only provided me with quality education but also helped I shaped my overall personality. They have well supportive faculty, interactive sessions, and well structured curriculum. Beyond academics they have opportunities for various extracurricular activities, moot courts, continuous seminars and many more. Overall my journey at St. Xavier’s University has been transformative, enriching me with skills, knowledge, and values needed. The campus environment encountered balance between studies and personal growth.
 

Academics Rating
I chose the course of B.A.LL.B (Hons.). This course has been started in this university from the year 2019 and we had been the first batch. It is a 5 years course. Apart from B.A.LL.B, they have B.Com.LL.B in the law field and various other courses in other fields. The entry requirement for this course is that they have their own entrance test known as XLAT. You need to pass that exam with a minimum of 40% to qualify. They have 10 semesters and in every semester we had internal examinations of CIA.
Fees structure: - For the first three years it is Rs. 1,20,000 and for the last two years it is Rs. 1,44,000. Semester wise fee structure for the first six semesters it is Rs. 60,000 per semester and for the last four semesters it is Rs. 72,000 per semester. They have some scholarships running which can be found on the university website.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of St. Xavier's University are very good, well mannered, and professional. The faculties teach using ppts and blackboards based on the subject. They also do engage in various assignments and projects depending on the requirements. The faculties are approachable; you can contact them any time. They engage in student- teacher interactive sessions. The teachers engage in problem solving of the queries raised by the students. Some of the faculties are also available on calls and emails anytime required.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell at St. Xavier's University is still in developing stage.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, they have hostel facilities in St. Xavier's University. It has a lot of facilities for the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, has a modern and well designed campus with spacious academic blocks. The campus is spread over wide area offering ample space for academics and extracurricular activities and relaxation as well. The classrooms are large and well ventilated. As for the academic facilities they have library, labs, seminar halls, conference halls. The library is well stocked with books and journals. The university has spacious halls for seminars and conferences. Apart from academics they have canteen and sports ground as well.
 

Campus Rating
Overall the campus life has been good. The university crowd is also average. They have different commitments regarding sports moots core members, etc. each committee conducts different activities from time to time. The committees conduct the fest, events time to time. They have an annual fest of Xavrang which is mostly conducted in the month of February. St. Xavier's University does have a feel of campus life but since it is very new it can be improved.

    The University was established in 2017. It is located near the Tech hub. It is one of the most reputed and popular Universities. Right now, the majority of campus is under construction. It will get completed around the year 2030. My personal experience at this University is good. It has all the facilities which the students need.     The experience at St. Xavier's University was great. The main reason that made me choose this university was the packages. Companies like SVF, ABP, and ZEE provide packages to students which students can avail. The highest package provided is 30 LPA and average package is around 13 LPA.     St. Xavier's University is a new extension of St. Xavier's College, established in 2017. My experience with this university is quite good and decent, but the only issue is the security guards keep on telling everyone to wear their ID cards. The college has an academic block, and there are 2 canteens with a gym, mess and hostel facilities for both boys and girls and a games room.
