My Thoughts on Kurukshetra University

Overall Rating
It was wonderful experience in my institute . The first thing which made me choose this is this university is very spacious and has a very big campus . Secondly, this university has lot of canteens plus it is very safe for girls here. There is tight security for girls . Environment is very hygienic and people here are so good , very helpful. The most important thing this university has is: outsiders are not allowed in campus at night so that they don't create any chaos in the university.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing Master’s in Chemistry. This is the top most departments in ranking here. The eligibility criteria depend on the course. I got my admission based on entrance test and then list will be out for those who were selected in the course. After that, the university will call you for counseling. We have to go 5 subject exams per semester and we have to give them twice a year. The syllabus here is very advance, which helps us to crack competitive exams.
The fee I paid is around Rs. 14,000 per year. Special discounts are given to SC and ST students. They have to pay half amount of it. There are lot of scholarships available for students which are: PMS (Post Metric Scholarship) and NSP (National Scholarship Portal).
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members of our department are too good. They are very helpful and caring. They guide us whenever we need and any time they are ready to help. They teach us in all possible ways, which can help us to understand things or topics easily. They prefer: PPTs, blackboards, etc. The teachers of our department are very knowledgeable, all of them are Doctorate, and one of them is included in top 2 scientists so you can imagine their knowledge.
 

Placement Rating
Placements of the university need to be upgraded.
 

Hostel Rating
University provides us hostel. There are 14 girl’s hostels that have double, triple, and quadruple sharing rooms. Yes, girl’s and boy’s hostels are separate. Food quality is too good. Hostel fee we give is Rs. 12,840 per year. Hostel timing is 6 AM to 7 PM in summers and 6 AM to 6.30 PM in winters.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There is a huge library in our university, which is full of books, and has separated reading hall of 5 floors. It is so spacious and they provide us Wi-Fi system too. The classrooms in our university are too big that it can accommodate approximately 200 students at a time so it contains big rooms. There are 4 canteens in our university. There is sports complex too which is very large.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life was so enjoyable and very entertaining. The university crowd is too good. it is not toxic at all. There are no clubs, instead there are NSS and NCC. There are many extracurricular activities like poster making competitions, rostrum, sports meet, and ‘Ratnavali’ in our university. All the festivals are celebrated together with lot of fun like: Holi, Diwali, Lohri, and many more.
