Life at DY Patil University

Overall Rating
The campus of DY Patil University is very big and it feels awesome. Facilities provided, class, best faculties, Cricket Stadium, fully Guarded and security premises, placement assistance, centralized placement, value for money, local train, bus, taxies are good. Also there are many hostels outside as well as in the University. The campus offers proper ambience for good and pleasant educational journey with great for balance life. It also facilitates the students with best academic as well as all extracurricular activities.
 

Academics Rating
I had pursue B.Sc in Hospitality and Tourism Studies at DY Patil University. The eligibility requirements were 60% in 10th and 12th or any academic background. If you qualify this criterion then they also conduct an interview before final admission. The admission process is simple. Later the documents are verified and then fees payment is made as per the choice of subject. Semester exams are conducted 2 times in 1 year for total 3 years. They have a mix of theory as well as practical’s where time slot are dedicated and then in final year they have an internship for 6 months in the industry.
At my time the fee was Rs. 90,000 per year for three years and they take Rs. 10,000 as security deposit.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members of DY Patil University are the best in class and they have good knowledge as per their years of experience in the industry as well as the academic institutions. Our HOD, Mr. Sachin Desai Sir was the most humble and supportive person throughout my University days. He was the best in person. Then our placement head Mr. Pravin Rathod Sir with phenomenal network and knowledge about the industry helped me to secure my internship in a well known hotel.
 

Placement Rating
It is a centralized placement process. The placement cell takes many initiatives for student like training and placement webinar skills enhancement activities. Taj Hotel, Vivanta, Hotel Lalit, Hotel Sayaji, Hotel JW Marriott are the top recruiters. I m pursuing MBA in marketing and sales.
 

Hostel Rating
I didn't stay in hostel of DY Patil University but it is good for stay and even the food is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus of DY Patil University is divided into various departments and each department has their own building and office. The classrooms are well equipped with smart projector and it can accommodate 60 students. The library is separate for each department. Then they have a seminar hall in each department. They have a sports café where we get tasty food at very reasonable rate. Sports here include cricket stadium and a red soil group for multipurpose. My favorite thing was cricket ground and greenery in the campus.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at DY Patil University is very busy as we have 9-5 University and even the attendance is compulsory for minimum 85%. University crowd is very energetic and helpful. There are various clubs like sports, cultural, technology, etc. Fests are organized like Antarang which is of 1 week in Feb. every year. My experience was very nice in the University. I enjoyed my University life. I made new friends and got lots of learning in the University. These were the best 3 years of my life. I miss those days.
