Admission Process at KIET Group of Institutions

KIET is among top 5 private Institute of AKTU in terms of every aspect. KIET has achieved brilliance in terms of connectivity since all the alumni graduated from here are placed in well reputed companies in their career. The campus environment, the peer, the seniors all are very talented and you will always get exposure in every aspect be it is coding or any other activity. Seniors here are supportive. The campus life is very chill. The societies here are best among all NCR Institutes. It will strengthen your network for sure. Society was the main reason for me to choose this Institute. The seniors in society are very helpful and talented. Since the campus is pretty small; it is roughly spread in 18 acres but the campus environment is nice. The transportation is a concern here but that too is tackled by RRTS services.

I have opted for Information and Technology as it was the best branch after CSE and is as old as CSE. It is NBA accredited and also the HOD sir and society under him are very talented, Influential and Reputed. I was ranked pretty low in JEE so CSE was pretty hard for me to get so I opted for IT. I am very proud of my decision. There are two ways by which you can get into the Institute, first via AKTU counseling, for that you have write you JEE main exam to get through all the process and secure at least 2 lakh below rank to get computer branch for general candidate or score 90 percentage or more in your boards exams. Admission process is pretty simple, just get through your counseling report to Institute, pay fee, submit your docs. And then you will be part of KIET. They conduct exams in every 1 month of course like CT, PRE CT, PUE and practical’s. Apart from it some surprise test and evaluation tests are also conducted. People from 2023 or older batches are still learning old syllabus of AKTU which is a bit boring. People after 2024 batch are learning new modified syllabus because KIET became an autonomous entity.

The fee for B.Tech course in your first year includes hostel fee as well. The fee is Rs. 2,39,999. After a year the fee will be reduced after removing one time registration fee which is Rs. 2,37,999. In your counseling if you have opted for tuition fee waiver so your tuition fee will be exempted i.e. Rs. 1,12,999. You may apply for UP government scholarship and other scholarships as per your eligibility and loan process. The Institute management will fully cooperate with you. Apart from it there are some scholarships that the Institute provides to the children who do not have their parents. There is additional Rs. 7,500 examination fee that you have to submit at the examination department every year.

Mostly professors here are assistant professor and have done their Ph.D from certified Institutes. Many of them are super talented and rich in knowledge. They also help the students. The teaching method used by them is via PPT. Every faculty members here is helpful in their own way, I believe its AKTU syllabus that made them teach in a certain way. The teacher to student ratio is good and my bond with many faculty members is healthy.

Placements here are pretty average like other AKTU Institutes. The lowest placement here is around 3 LPA. The placement cell here is helpful. They provide you all the necessary opportunities but again in IT field getting a job is real deal.

Hostel here are decent and its infrastructure is good. They provide you all the facilities except western washrooms. The washrooms are clean and proper hygiene is maintained. Mess food is average. Menu is average and they provide you gym and sports club for outdoor activity. Yes, there is girls are boys separate hostels. The in time for gild in the hostel is after 8. The rules for girls are pretty strict but yeah it makes more sense for their own safety. The boys are allowed outside the hostel until 2 am. Restrictions are very high for both the genders. For going home you have to take 3 signs from different dignitaries for leaving hostel.

Infrastructure is small but beautiful. The Institute provides all the facilities and canteens. My campus has every workshop, club, sports room, etc. There is a Mercedes workshop for Adam batch. The additional facilities include auditorium and TBI (established by GOI) labs and all the necessary shops and grounds. There is one temple of as the name suggests Krishna Ji. Campus life is very beautiful and exciting. My favorite hangout spot is canteen in front of ‘G’ block.

My overall experience is pretty average. The crowd is awesome. The people here are good too. The facilities provided are good too. The faculties are average. There are many fests organized in a year like Ran (sports fest), Époque (Main fest), InfoTech (technical fest), etc. It also conducts many Hackathons. Clubs here are very talented. They are always ready to help you with anything. Alumni network is very strong and you can get through our alumni only through clubs here so clubs are very necessary for an individual if they want to grab opportunities and built connections.
