Shoolini University: The Cleanest University in North India

Overall Rating
I think my overall experience was very good in this Shoolini University. I chose this university because of my course that I was interested in that was Biotechnology. This university is good for this course. I think because of the environment and mountain, students find this place interesting. The main difference with other university is, its student friendly environment where one can share their thought undoubtedly without any hesitation.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Sc Biotechnology (Hons.) because of after Covid-19. I was immensely impressed by vaccine and scientific research work so I thought that this would be great course for my passion. Entry requirements is very simple, you just have to register first and then test will be conducted online that you can pass easily after this security and course fee has to be submitted. An eligibility criterion of this course was that you must have scored 75% in 12th. Examinations were term wise and it has 3 terms. Academic preparation was also decent.
The fees of my course was Rs. 43,475 per semester. Registration fee was Rs. 200,00, & Security fees was Rs. 10,000. If you have above 85% in 12th, scholarship will be provided. Kashmiri quota was also available for Kashmiri students.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty was well educated and had Ph. PPT was provided and group discussion was also there among students. Faculty was well educated and yes they solved questions and friendly also. Ratio of students was 60:40. They are very approachable and know there work towards the students and teaching. Personal issue was also taken seriously by faculty members they listen they understand.
 

Placement Rating
Placement was not that good from my experience. The reason in my opinion was that university is located in hills and good companies are not able to reach here. I am talking about good multinational companies otherwise it is good for management department other courses
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the university does have residential facilities for faculty and parents if they want to stay for few days. It has 4 blocks for hostels. Each block has 6 floors and each floor has 24 rooms in total. Yes, girl’s and boy’s hostels are separated. The food quality was okay but on festival or special occasions, special dinner was there which was very good overall. However, food quality was 6/10 from my side. Hostel fee was semester wise that is Rs. 54,895 and may increase yearly. Hostel rules were strict and timings for gate close was 9 PM. It was good and cleaned hostels overall.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure was okay when I was there. Now it has been re-constructed now. Campus size is not that much, it is small I guess due to hilly environment. Classroom was big according to the number of students in our course. Library was very good and well maintained , it provides laptop also for study. Labs has each and every tools and machine. Seminar hall was also very fat for maximum number of students. Auditorium is not there because university is situated in mountain region. Pine court was my favorite person because it made in tree and the kind peace was there is very soothing for meditation.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life was spent well, decent crowd is present in campus. No I am not member of any club and also not involved in extracurricular activities. Fest and events were superb in the campus, the management budget in good amount. Every festival was celebrated in university with pride and honor. I had good experience. I enjoyed my campus life with joy and friends. I still miss my hostel and campus days so much.

    Most of the students including me were very keen to get into this university located in the mountains, but we all got a little disappointed as the experience is unique but not what we expected.
