I opt BCA because I wanted to be a good computer engineer. Subharti University has great architecture and infrastructure and it has stretched in the area more than 250 acres. Life at Subharti is full of good things and some bad experiences. This university provides us all the necessary facilities for the students in academic and in the extra curriculum also but it does not have the quality of education. Since it is a big university and it offers many courses and more than 10000 students studies here hence we meet lot of people from the other departments and it gives a good exposure to the students in their overall developments. The thing in which the university lacks is the placements. It does not provide good placements to the students and does not give more opportunities to the students.

There is no entrance exam to enroll in this course. Admissions are done in Subharti University on the merit basis. Admission forms are available on the university website. Students must have done their 12th to be eligible to enroll in BCA. I enrolled in this course because I wanted to pursue my career as a computer programmer and to be a good computer application employee. There are six semesters in this course and it is mandatory to pass all the semester without any backlog to get the degree. Each semester is followed by exam. There are three class tests in a semester. Generally each semester last 5 months. Semester exams are also not hard to pass. Students can pass them by just studying one week before the exam. There is also a one project each year that we have to submit to the class coordinator. There are also assignments in each semester that are to be submitted to the class teacher.

Teachers are good in the BCA department. All do not have their PhD but they have good knowledge over the subjects and provide a good teaching experience to the students. There are 5-6 subjects in a semester and we meet 5-6 teachers in our semester and majority of them provide good learning experience to the students. Mostly in this course there is no need for the theoretical knowledge but teacher focuses more on the theory part of the subjects and gives less attention to the practical part of the subjects. I feel this thing is not good in our course. Otherwise faculties give their 100 percent to the student and also plans extra classes for the student to cover the syllabus. There is one teacher over 30 students. One thing that the teachers can improve is that they can make more practical classes to the students.

Subharti University Placement cell is present in the campus but it does not offer much for the student to be placed in good companies. In my batch only 40 percent students got placed. Campus placements are not good but some students placed with a CTC between 3 LPA to 7LPA. From the 5th semester students becomes eligible to appear in the college placements processes. That is the reason many students plans to pursue MCA for better placements in good companies. Some companies visits college but they are not well recognized and they even does not provide good package. Average package in my batch was 4 LPA with the highest package of 7.5 LPA and minimum package of 3 LPA.

Subharti University Hostel facilities are average and they provide 2 seater and 3 seater rooms for the students. They provide 3 meals including breakfast and the food quality is below average. Menu is different each day of the week; you will get different meal each time. At one time you become bore of the food taste because it tastes all the same. They charge Rs. 80,000 per year for the hostel fee and they do not even give good facilities for the students. Hostel timing is also very strict for the girls. I think hostel fee is high related to the facilities they provide and better rooms and facilities are available for the students outside the University.

Subharti University infrastructure is great. It has more than 50 buildings. The reason is that university also provides more than 40 courses to the students. Overall architecture is commendable and it is connected to the National Highway. There is one block for the BCA and MCA. Classrooms have all the facilities that are needed for the students. There are also many labs in the building. Campus is connected to the high speed Wi-Fi. College infrastructure is great it has all the facilities. College is very well maintained. College also has big central library and it consists all type of books and journals. Some students say that it has more than 500000 books and more than 100000 journals. Every class has air conditioner and projectors. College has roads for the better connectivity all over the campus.

Subharti University Campus life is good despite being the low placement offers. Campus size is very huge around 250 acres that is why something happens every day in the college. Best thing about the Subharti is the fests that happen every month. Most of the events are sports event and it is very pleasing to watch sports and cheering up for our team. There are two main fests that happen each year in the college. One happens in November in which celebrities comes in the college and another one happens when the new students comes to the college in the month of August. Many clubs are here in this university. There are more than 100 clubs in the whole university based on the every possible thing. All the clubs are run the student funding.
