My Life at Law Campus of Chandigarh University

Overall Rating
The law campus at Chandigarh University is decent. The teaching faculty is well trained and interactive with the students. Talking about the extra-curricular activities like Moot court, ADR and Pro Bono are highly promoted in the university which help the student in building a strong profile. There are many opportunities provided to showcase your talent in the university through fest and various intra competitions. The hostel and transport facilities are awesome in the campus for both boys and girls.
 

Academics Rating
BBA.LL.B (Hons.) is a very career driven course. The course provides you with two major degrees, one is BBA and other is Law. Through this course you can become a good taxation or finance lawyer and also it gives you opportunity to purse CS along with it which will excel your career. Eligibility criteria for the course are minimum 50% in 12th class. Admission process is simple; you have to apply for the CUET exam through official website. Exams are frequently held after every 1 month (2 Mst's and 1 final exam). This course help you improve your social skills and to get away your introvert personality.
The tuition fees at Chandigarh University for the course is currently around Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 per semester. The hostel fee is currently around Rs. 1, 50,000 for the year.
 

Faculty Rating
The teaching staff at Chandigarh University for the course is well trained and interactive with students. Most of the faculties are Ph.D scholars and are master in their subjects. Faculties are supportive to students in extracurricular activities and encourage them to participate in moot court competition and ADR events outside university. Faculties solve the academic problems in a smooth and impressive way; they help the weak and try to explain the concept of law in the easiest way possible.
 

Placement Rating
The Chandigarh University has Training and Placement Cell which helps the students in securing best placement in the industry. They support them in CV building and provide them with interview training.
 

Hostel Rating
Chandigarh University offers awesome hostel facilities to the students. The hostel environment is good with an impressive food menu and taste. Hostel is completely safe for both boys and girls. The fees for the same are Rs. 1, 50,000 for a 4 seater room.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is outstanding at Chandigarh University. The campus locality is awesome. Campus has all basic necessaries like Air conditioners, clean water, lift, etc. Chandigarh University has two main libraries with a high sitting capacity and they are open till 10 PM. Every department has its own library as well which is open till 4:30 PM. The university has a sports complex which provides students opportunity to participate in various sports. University recently won the MAKA trophy as well.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is amazing overall. The university crowd is enthusiastic and happening. There are various clubs and societies in law department like Moot Court Society, ADR Cell, Vidhi Vikas Club, and Pro Bono club. I have been a member of all of these at a time. The university also has central clubs of theatre, fest and adventure which can be joined by anyone. There is an annual CU fest in which various artists are called up and it is an enriching experience.

    The factor that made me choose Chandigarh University is its affordable course fee as compared to other law Universities. Overall the course is having a great curriculum with practical and theoretical knowledge. The University provides internship and placement assistance as internship from second semester onwards.     My experience at Chandigarh University is wonderful and memorable. It focuses more on practical and that doesn't mean it avoid theory, it balance the theory and practical. For a Law student, it's necessary that there is practical exposure with theoretical knowledge.     I chose Chandigarh University because of the reputation it holds. The campus is really huge, and infrastructure is top notch. Each and every facility is available in the campus.
