Faculty Expertise and Teaching Methods at Adamas University

My experience at Adamas University is quite good and satisfactory. It is a green campus as a wide variety of plants is there in the campus under proper maintenance. The faculties are one of the most positive factors for this university. Every faculty is very approachable and helpful in all aspects. It has a good record of placements every year. These facts have convinced me to choose this university over others.

I have chosen B.Sc (Hons.) in Biotechnology. It has many opportunities in many fields and has adequate job opportunities. Eligibility criteria for admission in biotechnology is 12th pass with Science stream. Admission takes place through a test called AUAT (Adamas University Admission Test). Direct admission is also available on the basis of merit of higher secondary examination. Each semester consists of one examination, that is, the end semester examination. Continuous assessments via PowerPoint presentation, assignments, projects, and class tests are conducted throughout the semester. The course curriculum is very relevant and helpful to prepare for real life challenges in industrial sector.

The total fee of B.Sc Biotechnology (non-NEP) is Rs. 4,40,000. The fee per year is Rs. 1,40,000 and that per semester is Rs. 70,000. During admission, I had to pay admission fee of Rs. 20,000. Merit scholarship on the basis of merit of higher secondary examination marks is available. Also, merit scholarship is there for spa scored in each semester.

The faculty members are highly qualified and have an impressive background. Most of the faculties have done postdoctoral degree from abroad. The method of teaching is mostly through white board and PPTs. The classes are interactive and understandable. The teacher to student ratio is well enough. The faculties are very approachable and helpful in any problem solving and guidance. Each faculty contributes in grooming the students skillfully. The faculties also guide students for placement and internship.

Adamas University has a Career Development Cell which looks after the placement opportunities for the students. The cell has a large source of connections with renowned companies whom they approach for recruitment of students from the university. The cell also conducts interview trainings classes for the final year students.

The University has a wide 120 acres campus. It has 11 academic buildings, 3 hostels, 2 food courts, 2 cafeteria, 6 playgrounds, and 3 libraries. It has a cricket ground, a football ground, basketball court, badminton court, indoor games area, stationary shop, medical center, restaurant, gym, bank ATM, laundry, etc. The university also provides optional transport facilities for day scholars. The classrooms are outfitted with AC and projectors. The seating capacity of classroom ranges from 40 to 80 students. The campus is always safe and secure as there is 24-hour security is present in each corner of the campus. The laboratories are well equipped with high-tech instruments and technology. These features make it a highly desirable campus to study in.

The campus is quite happening and engaging. Almost every month, some engagement activities keep taking place. There are a total of 15 clubs in the university, namely, Music club, dance club, recitation club, photography club, art club, sports club, coding club, entrepreneurship club, empathy club, junk innovation club, fitness club, biotech club, etc. Every year, an annual fest named ‘Adinova’ is arranged which includes many competitions and guest performances. Other than that, flash-mob, cultural programs, seminars, workshop, etc. keep on happening. Overall, the campus experience is very engaging and enjoyable.
