Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology: for Future AI and Data Science

I chose Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology because it has a great atmosphere. I visited a number of institutes before confirming my admission here and most of them were focused only on studies and did not give students any opportunity to represent themselves or grow their hobbies. I was looking for an institute which organises a number of fests and events. This institute offers high quality education along with numerous activities. Many times the activities are related to chosen field of study. Another factor which made me consider this institute in comparison to others is that it ensures that students should not only achieve their academic goals but also develop various hobbies. Students at the institute express themselves by participating in various competitions. I liked it because I am a dancer and have won a lot of trophies. I even participated in a national level team competition and won first prize.

I am currently pursuing B.Tech CSE in AI (Artificial Intelligence) and DS (Data Science) specialisations. My parents helped me choose this branch because I was confused between CSE core branch and AI & DS branch as a specialisation. I finally selected this course because it will help me find job opportunities in future. I would have a degree in two of the most in-demand Engineering specialisations which are AI and DS. My admission was done on the basis of my board exams in the vacant quota. The admission process was really simple. You just have to register by submitting your documents and select your choice of branch and institute. This is because the University has two institutes which offer engineering courses. There is a mandatory mock test every week whose marks are counted in the result. My course also include mid-semester, viva, external, and practical exams.

My tuition fee is Rs. 1,49,000 per year and Rs. 74,500 per semester. The registration fee was Rs. 500 and I also had to pay Rs. 10,000 at the beginning of my studies. I was given 20 % scholarship for first semester because I am from Maharashtra and I have given JEE & CET. My scholarship was given on the basis of my board exam results. I had 68% marks in broads so I was given 20% scholarship. If you have achieved 90% marks then the scholarship would be around 50% but it would only be applicable for the 1st semester.

I liked the faculty because they make us feel at home. They tried to know our personalities and learning requirements from the very first lecture. I participated in various activities and all the facilities supported me by marking my attendance when I was practicing for those events. Moreover, the faculties are highly qualified and their way of teaching is also good. They were very helpful and cleared all my doubts. Another factor which I liked was the hand written notes and detailed presentations which the faculty prepared for teaching us various topics. The involved us in group discussions, organised group-wise quizzes and many other activities. The ratio of teachers and students was usually equal.

Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology facilitates practical learning of the students by organising off-campus visits. Sometimes they even select some of the students for 1 month internships which give us industry relevant work experience.

Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology offers hostel services. Hostlers have to be at the hostel premises by 9:30 P.M.

The university is massive and is 10 out of 10. The library at the university covers a whole floor. It also has separate building for labs. The seminar hall at the university has a total seating capacity of around 100 students. They also have a huge food court where you can get a number of delicious food items. The university has its own hospital, the Sevashram hospital which is open for students 24x7. If you have any medical emergency they provide you with free ambulance ride. My favourite spot in this University is near the Dominos shop where students can sit and get a beautiful view of the sunset. My mot-liked building at the university is the Design department building. I think it’s the prettiest building with beautiful exterior. There are a lot of sports facilities like basketball court, football stadium, rugby and football ground.

The campus is dreamlike and very well-maintained with greenery all around. Every month the institute has some event like Sufi night or Garba night and the students like it because they are get a break from everyday life.
