Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology: From the Lens of a 3rd year student

Overall Rating
I came to know about Parul institute during my 12th class, when some members from this institute came to our school to give a demo. I liked the demo and got interested in joining here. Main factor to join here is, this is one of the top universities for B. Tech in our hometown. I suggest this institute for the students who are willing to get good placements with flexible academic timetable.
 

Academics Rating
My chosen course is B. Tech CSE (AI), because I am very much interested to learn the new technologies, which are now present in the software side. Here the admission process is same as all other universities; you have to pass 12th class. In my town there is Parul office for admission process, My admission was done there, firstly I paid Rs. 10,000 for the admission process and that fees was later included into institute fees only. Frequency of exams is every year we have two semester exams, and 2 mid semester exams in between them.
My fees for B. Tech CSE (AI) is Rs. 1,25,000 including all extra charges. I got some fee concession because I got above 80% in my 12th class exams. If you have more than 90%, there is more concession in fees.
 

Faculty Rating
I got good relationship with the faculty here, before joining an institute I was somewhat nervous to talk to teachers but here I made a good bond with them. Many of the faculties have completed their PhD and have more than 15 years of experience in professional teaching. Student teacher ratio is 65:1 but there is a separate faculty for lab. In my whole education period, I always feared of asking doubts but here I can freely clarify my doubts with them very easily.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell is present in our institute and they are active and help us in various issues. They help in training us for placements and making us ready for the jobs. They bring many top companies like ServiceNow, Flipkart, Amazon and many top MNCs to give placements for the students.
 

Hostel Rating
The institute offers good residential facilities for the students. In my first year, I lived in PG and later I shifted to hostel. Girls and boys have separate hostels, not combined. But, the food is the main issue for the south students because here you have to pay extra for south food and there will be no non-vegetarian food provided in the mess. Fees are approximately Rs. 83,000.
 

Infrastructure Rating
This is one of the largest campuses in Gujarat state with 120 acres in total. It is 20 km far from the main city. However, you have number of autos and buses to travel in. Every classroom have a minimum capacity of 80 students. There are seminar halls, two libraries and 2 auditoriums here. Students can use bus transportation provided by the institute to travel from home to institute daily, for that, you have to pay some extra fees. My favorite spot in the institute is the food court near our hostel. We enjoy a lot there.
 

Campus Rating
As per my experience, this institute gave me many best moments in my life. I got many friends here who help me in my difficult situations. I participated in various extracurricular activities like dancing, sports, etc. and some writing competitions also. This institute organizes lots of fests and programs to keep students active and make them participate in all activities. I suggest this institute for the upcoming students because I assure that they will not regret joining this institute. This is my final year and up to now, I enjoyed here a lot.

    I am currently pursuing B.Tech with Computer Science and Engineering. My experience at the university is very good and very exciting. When I first arrived here, I did not know anything about this university as I enrolled here on my uncle’s recommendation.
