ISIM Jaipur for MBA: Academics, Faculty, and Placements

My 2 year experience at International School of Informatics and Management, Jaipur has been wholesome in terms of faculty, environment, growth opportunities, exposure, robust and advanced infrastructure, placement opportunities and in many more aspects. The reason I decided to pursue my MBA from ISIM was because of its recognition and affiliation by Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), its placement record which I searched online and even gathered such insights from my personal network; experienced & proficient faculty and diverse culture. Additionally, the institute is well positioned among leading management educational institutions of Jaipur which triggered my decision to opt for this college.

I chose MBA (Dual specialization-Finance and Marketing) as I wanted to continue with finance subject because I was pursuing CA and CS also in that duration (intermediary phase). I selected marketing as my second specialization subject considering extensive range of placement opportunities in this domain and also, I like to interact with more people so found marketing as a suitable field to explore more. I got admission in the college on the basis of my class 12th board score (84%) and group discussion feedback. Apart from semester exams, ISIM during my batch held internal assessments in alternate month. I must say academics certainly prepared me well to grab a good career line.

Fee structure to be honest I don't remember now but it was a total of around Rs.1,25,000 to Rs. 1,75,000. I think tuition fee amount was Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 45,000 per semester. No special discounts were available for any particular category of students in my knowledge.

The faculty members who taught marketing and finance subjects were all PhD holders and were well equipped with their core fields. They not only relied on theoretical materials to teach us but also used presentations to deliver course content wherein they covered updated market trends, real life examples of different brands, and favored interactive sessions instead of one way discussion. Group discussions and presentations were regarded as central components of lectures. My batch in total had 120 students and teachers were around 40 covering both RTU and FMS Masters degree staff.

Yes, placement cell was there which was consistently working to get students placed at right job roles as per their inherent potential, academic sore, and competencies. Placement cell circulated messages about upcoming companies coming for placement drive to official mail of students and by placing the updates on notice board as well. ICICI Bank, ICICI Prudential, Angel Broking, Max Life Insurance, HDFC Bank, Muthoot Finance and Activant Solutions are few companies that I remember which visited our college for placement drives. Average packages offered were Rs. 4,00,000 per annum and highest package was of Rs. 8,00,000. My placement experience was totally satisfactory as I got a good package as the starting point and a full time office job with no field work.

Yes, International School of Informatics and Management, Jaipur offered residential facilities with proper hygiene and serving quality food.

Campus was well structured with separate blocks for MBA (RTU), PGDM (FMS) and MCA (Technical Department). The infrastructure was advanced with proper computer labs, library, open canteen area, well structured auditorium, and a properly equipped conference hall. Security system was also robust and basic medical facilities were available 24/7. Favorite part concerning infrastructure was auditorium with best sound system, proper ventilation, and accommodation capacity. The conference rooms were adequately designed with proper sound systems and good seating arrangement which made them fully supportive for group discussions.

Overall my campus life was wonderful and college crowd was good enough, entailing students and staff members from diverse cultural settings offering ranging opportunities to learn and groom. No there were no clubs. Several engagement activities were frequently organized by the college like annual fest, college bazar, workshops, entertainment sessions, guest lectures, industry explore activities, and others. Annual fest ‘Mostac’ was organized as a large scale event wherein various management colleges of Jaipur were invited. It used to be a 3 day event which for sure was full of knowledge, colors, famous faces, dance performances, debates and a lot more.
