SPMCW New delhi: Girl’s Top Choice

Overall Rating
When I joined college I was in my teens and like everyone else, I too had a checklist. So, the question is after spending almost 2 years at college, are all those boxes ticked? Well, the answer is yes. When all girl’s colleges of DU are discussed, LSR and Gargi tops but Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women, New Delhi is no less when it comes to career opportunities and extracurricular activities. Beyond books, skill building is also taught at my college.
 

Academics Rating
With DU academics everyone's got a point of view as DU is pioneer. So, English Honors happened to me as I wanted to master it. We are also taught the sign English and that is something which very limited people on this planet knows. The college’s academics are decent if not the best. Our academics ensure that our competence level matches that of any other college students and this is probably the best thing about academics here.
It's around Rs.13,000 a year. The other charges which are levied in the name of fests and events may vary but college's tuition fee and exam fee for most DU college is more or less the same.
 

Faculty Rating
To make win inevitable one has to train hard and this is what our faculties have taught us. They have adopted a simple method as many don't know what English Honors exactly is. Nearly 40 teachers in our branch as we have main and associate teachers for each and every subject till the final year of our course.
 

Placement Rating
For English honors jobs are available only in media houses or government agencies and therefore we have to find our career beyond college as in college very few get placed.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus is big enough as we have three academic blocks and a library building is there separately. Currently there's just one canteen but I have heard that a Nesacafe or a such kind of kiosk will also be established soon. Sports wise there aren't many who play but we still have some indoor sports facilities. The main attraction though remains is our law. Auditorium is not that big but still good enough for holding guest lectures.
 

Campus Rating
Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women, New Delhi’s fest ‘Srijan’ is not just popular but is one of the fests where all DU college girls are invited thought it’s till 6pm only. Overall campus life is good and well guarded. Our Garden is the best place to enjoy a peaceful campus life as post classes that is where we bide our time.

    Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women is an off-campus college of Delhi University. The college is big, area wise, in comparison to various other colleges of DU. Being only a girls college the campus life is not very exciting but if you make good friends the college will be more exciting.
