Views of Final Year Student in DAV University

Overall Rating
DAV University is situated at the National highway that makes the transport much easier for students. It is different from other colleges as the fees structure is very affordable and provides very high quality education. I highly recommend new students who are looking for college to choose this one. It makes students industry ready.
 

Academics Rating
I am enrolled in Bachelor of Business Administration with specialization of Marketing. The course curriculum makes student industry ready. It conducts DAV UET entrance exam for admission in various UG and PG courses. If you fail to qualify this exam, you can also get admission based on 12th class marks. Mid-semester and end-semester examinations are conducted in my course. If you can, score well in mid semester exams then you can easily pass in the end-master exam. It also prepares its students for future job opportunity.
The fee of my program varies from Masters. The fee for even semester is Rs. 32,500 and the end semester fee is Rs. 37,500. Students also have to pay Rs. 10,000 as security deposit, which is refundable after graduation. The university provides scholarship to student based on 12th grade marks. ST & SC students can assess 100% scholarship from the state governments.
 

Faculty Rating
Each subject has at least 2 to 3 well-qualified facilities. HoD of my department is from NIT. All the facilities are PhD scholars. They use various teaching methods such as mind map to help students develop their skills and knowledge. The teachers are quite approachable and you can reach them for any kind of academic or general issue. Teachers at university are great and I love their teaching skills. Faculties are highly experienced they are experts in their subjects.
 

Placement Rating
DAV University has built a strong industrial collaborations with reputed companies to offer good placements to students. It also organizes many pre-placement events such as guest lecturers where experts from various domains give industry insights to students.
 

Hostel Rating
University has a separate hostel for both girls and boys. Approximately 400 to 500 students can reside at the hostels. A hostel night is conducted by the universities administration in every semester. The hostel food could be improved. The annual hostel fee is Rs. 70,000 for a 4-seater room. Hostlers need to take permission from the warden for any type of outing.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are three blocks at the University, which include the administration, AC, and AB block. The campus is spread over 70 acres. There is a library, food centre, dispensary, and an auditorium with the seating capacity of 500 to 600 students. The university provides transport facility for day’s scholar. My favorite place is student centre, which offer many other activities. All the classes have air conditioning.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is great. there are a lot of clubs and societies such as literary club, Arts & creativity club, singing & dancing club, NSS etc. The university also has NCC which help students for the their leadership skill development. University organizes various fests on every festival such as Diwali Mela, etc. I really enjoyed the fests organized by the university. Students really enjoy the fests and festivals organized by the university.

There are many universities nearby it but reason behind choosing this one is its surrounding environment and quality of education.     It's my second semester at DAV University Jalandhar and my experience from last all time is very good. The college is ragging free and the seniors are very supportive. Students are mostly sincere and there are no political issues, so it helps us to focus on our studies better. The university is still under development or I will say its developing university as they are still working on their infrastructure.
