Overall Rating
DAV University Jalandhar is a prestigious university located at the national highway. Its location makes easier commute from nearby places. It is an ideal option for students who are from Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Bihar, and Punjab. It also has students from other nearby states. I think, its best option to get quality education at low fees. I chose this university because of my friends suggested me this university.
 

Academics Rating
I am in my final year of B.Tech CSE. The course curriculum followed here makes students industry ready. For aspirants who want to take admission in various UG and PG courses, the university conducts DAVUNET exam. Hence, students who qualify this exam are eligible for the admission Students can also get admission based on 12 class marks. Exams are held two times in a semester MSE and ESE. If you score well in MSE, then you can easily pass the subjects during other exam.
The total fee per year is Rs. 1,30,000 per semester. Hence, you have to pay Rs. 65,000 per semester. There is 10% discount for the students who have passed for DAV School students or their parents were in army
 

Faculty Rating
There are at least 2 to 3 well-qualified teachers for each subject. HOD of my department is NIT pass-out. All the faculties are PhD scholars. They use various new methods to teach students. The teachers are quite approachable as you can reach out them for any kind of academic or general issue. Mind maps activities are conducted for each subject and regular quiz, which tests how much students, have understood.
 

Placement Rating
Average package is 4 LPA and students who studied well have additional skills ACN get upto 7 LPA. Major recruiters are Infosys and TCS.
 

Hostel Rating
Upto 600 to 700 students can reside in each room. Single, double, triple, & quadruple sharing rooms are available in each hotel. Fee also dependents upon the room that you chose. The quality of the food in mess can be much better.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are three blocks: AC, AD, and AB blocks. The campus is spread over an area of 60 acres. There is a Library, student centre, dispensary, and an auditorium (where most of the guest lecturers take place). It also provides transport facility to the day scholars. The best place in the university is Student Centre and library as I spend my most of my time in either of these places. There are also two grounds in the university: one for cricket and also, there is dedicated basketball court available. University also provides parking facilities to the students and teachers.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is wonderful. There are lot of clubs and societies such as literacy Club, Art & Creativity Club, Singing & Dancing Club, NSS Club, NCC Club, etc. which help students enhance their leadership skills, develop personality, and build confidence. It also organizes fest on every festival.

    It's my second semester at DAV University Jalandhar and my experience from last all time is very good. The college is ragging free and the seniors are very supportive. Students are mostly sincere and there are no political issues, so it helps us to focus on our studies better.     Last year 2020 I passed out from DAV University. I would love to share my views on my university that has given me so many experiences and a lot of confidence. The university is still under development or I will say its developing university as they are still working on their infrastructure.
