NMIMS Mumbai's BBA Program: Admission Process, Fees, & Placements

I started BBA at NMIMS Mumbai in July 2024 after passing NPAT examination. My experience at this institute has been fully enriching and exciting, both academically and personally. Among all the colleges in India, it is ranked 2nd and now I exactly know the reason, it gives you a proper exposure to the outside world, along with the real life experiences, which makes you industry-ready in no time. Something that differentiates this institute is the crowd it has. Students are from every part of India, whether it be Gujarat, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh or Bangalore. This broadens our perspective and provides amazing networking opportunities.

I opted for BBA, which comes under Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce (ASMSOC). It has 3 other courses too, but the most applied for are BBA and B.Sc Finance. B.Sc finance is very specific to finance, so I opted for BBA in which I can explore other branches too. Entry requirements are scoring more than 60% in 12th class or equivalent from any recognized board and one should have studied either Mathematics or Statistics during 12th class. Admission process is simple, you just have to clear NPAT, which is a 120 marks test and based on its merit, admissions are done. In BBA, every semester comprises of group discussions, presentation, quiz, and assignments at the interval of 12 to 15 days, while mid-terms and end-terms are fixed in every semester. Academic curriculum contains various research projects and business case studies which gives you knowledge about real-life challenges.

The fees for the BBA course is Rs. 3,60,000 per year. This is just the tuition fee and the registration fee. For entrance exam (NPAT) fee is Rs. 2,000 per attempt (maximum 3 attempts). Also, this doesn't include hostel fee. As far as I'm aware of the fee structure, NMIMS Mumbai does not provide any scholarships, fees concessions or financial aid to its students.

The faculty members are highly qualified and some have also completed their PhD in various fields. The faculty members are well-versed with the recent market requirements and make students future ready. Most of the teachers use their self made PPTs to explain the stuff, while some discusses the case studies and uses GDs as a tool to have overall development. An approximate teacher-student ratio would be 1:12, which helps teachers to focus on a student personally. 90% of the faculty members are very helpful and provides true & reality-based advice, whenever asked for.

Our college has a dedicated placement cell with a very experienced and intellectual president (from students itself). This cell carries out placement drives for 3rd year students as well as helps juniors for their internships. College organizes speaker sessions, resume development session, and soft skills classes for students. Companies like Crisil, Blinkit, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Accenture, etc. visit for recruiting young minds. Average package offered was 6.79 LPA, while the highest package was 16.5 LPA this year.

College owns residential properties, which are only used for students of the NMIMS Mumbai. Here, the fee ranges from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 45,000 per month, depending on rooms whether they are air conditioned or not. All the 3 meals are included in this and girls and boys have separate hostels. The safety of the students is not compromised, as those are the prime concerns for the institute.

NMIMS Mumbai is widely known for its infrastructure and best classroom experience. The campus where ASMSOC is located is MPSTME building, which has 8 floors with more than 80 classrooms. It also has library, gym, computer labs, canteen, auditorium, etc. The canteen present at the entrance passage of the campus serves the best & most hygienic food. The seating capacity of each class room is approximately 65 students. My favorite place in the campus is classroom (definitely) and gym. Library with every needed facility and Computer labs are something which complements our learning experience.

The campus life at the institute has always been exciting for me. The crowd in my institute is mostly from the big business houses and has well established family businesses, which provides a great opportunity to build network with folks. ASMSOC has various clubs like Entrepreneurship-Cell, Corporate Interface Cell, Rotaract club, Social Responsibility Forum, Nature Club, and of course, cultural committee. I'm part of E-cell. Annual fest of ASMSOC is called ‘Vaayu’. Every club offers various events and being part of this fest will give you a great learning experience. The annual fest, ‘Vaayu’ was a great opportunity for me to network with my peers and make new friends, which was all worth the hype.
