Exploring Life in NSEC Kolkata

Overall Rating
It is a great college with a ragging free campus. I am from IT department, one of the best departments in NSEC Kolkata. It is affiliated with MAKAUT Kolkata and is one of the oldest private engineering college in West Bengal.
 

Academics Rating
If you have completed your 12th grade, WBJEE or JEE Main rank will be the entry point. On the other hand, if you have completed your diploma then JELET is another entrance exam through which, you get admitted to 2nd year directly. You need to follow 4 CA exam, 2 PCA, external theory and external lab exam. Projectors are used to teach us. All laboratories are well equipped by latest machines.
Currently, I am pursuing B.Tech. I’m in my 3rd year, 6th semester. I got admission in this college through JELET Exam so my 3 year course fee is Rs. 4,27,000.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty members are helpful and have good behavior with the students. Every possible problem of the students is resolved by the faculty members. The teaching method of the teachers is impressive. They have good knowledge and support us academically as well as mentally to help us grow.
 

Placement Rating
This college has good placement records. Many companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro, Capgemini, Amazon, Google, IBM, Bandhan Bank, Tiger Analysis, L&T, etc. had visited NSEC Kolkata so far. The average package of this college is 6.5 LPA and the highest package is around 45 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
This college has recently opened the hostel for boys’ and girls’. The quality is good enough. Quality of food is also fine.
 

Infrastructure Rating
This college is located at the prime position in Kolkata, near Kavi Subhash Metro Station. This college has a vibrant campus with lots of greenery and flowers. It has modern classroom with Wi-Fi and Smart Board installed. A good library and well equipped modern laboratory with new generation machines, latest function and low power consumption are also there. This college has a good sports are where games like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Hockey, Volleyball, Chess and many more are played here. This college has a medical unit for emergency. There is also a big seminar hall. Overall, good infrastructure.
 

Campus Rating
The overall college life is beautiful. There are various kind of activities which take place every day. Competitions like Hackathon and Coding are organised here. Many clubs like Eco culture club and Phoenix club are also present. The annual fest for the students are also organised where many bands have come this time.
