Life at SREC Coimbatore

Overall Rating
The experience I got from these 4 years is really unforgettable. From gaining knowledge not only in the academics but also in up skilling my unknown talents, SREC Coimbatore is right place to study, explore and up skill. We gain so much of knowledge and qualify the interviews for our placements easily.
 

Academics Rating
The course which I chose to study is Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). I have been very interested in electrical engineering & embedded systems and VLSI which is why I chose this course. In my course, both government and management seats are available. However, maximum seats are filled through government quota. We have 2 internal exams for theory, 2 cyclic test for lab in each semester and end semester examinations.
The fee structure involves annual fee system. We get scholarship and fee concession according to the cut off. Scholarships such as 1st graduate, community and sports are available.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of my department are kind and sweet. They not only teach us in class but are also available each and every time in case of doubts. They prepare us for each and every topic in and out of syllabus. They also conduct tests and allow us to do practical work in labs. They take sessions and make us strictly take classes to improve our soft skills.
 

Placement Rating
There's a placement cell called CDPD in SREC Coimbatore. Many companies visit and according to our interest, we get the placements. I have got placed through campus recruitment process.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are residential facilities. There are separate hostel for boys and girls having 2 blocks of boys and 1 block of girls separately. There are wardens as well. The rooms are hygienic and food is also good. Hostel fee would be nearly 1 LPA.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is great and located at a peaceful place as there is no noise of traffic. The college has a canteen. Transport and medical facilities are also available.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, my campus life was so good with enough facilities. The classrooms in F-Block are my most favorite because that is where I started my new journey with new faces which made my college life memorable and unforgettable. College crowd was good and decent. Yes, there are many social and innovative clubs such as sports, yoga and fine arts club. There are also NSS and NCC camps. There are several clubs for each department as well which help us with our communication, leadership and public speaking skills. There is an event conducted, called Symposium, for each department every year which is an inter college competition.
