What Every Student Should Know About IIIT Nagpur

Overall Rating
Academic is good and faculty are supportive here. Indoor and outdoor games facilities are there. Package is good likewise in other IIITs. The factors for which I have chosen this institute are its better placement statistics and good academics and is located in Nagpur too. From here, you get good job placements in Maharashtra as many Tech companies have setup their infrastructure and many more are up coming.
 

Academics Rating
I choose ECE branch, with 96.5 percentile in JEE main, the demand of Electronics Engineer will definitely rise that is why I have chosen this branch and in ECE, you learn about real life projects too. The admissions are taken through JEE main score. 3 exams are conducted each year namely, Sectional 1, 2 and end semester. Academics definitely make your concepts strong and make you aware of real world affairs. You can choose the options in your branch too for future.
Rs. 2,47,000 is the fees of each year and hostel is of around Rs. 1,20,000. No discounts are there. Scholarships are there.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties at IIIT Nagpur are supportive and teach you each concept clearly. You can easily ask them questions or doubts related to it. They all have done PhD from IIT, NIT or from government institutions. The method is teaching is through white board, PPTs and projector. They have total understanding of their subjects. Teacher student ratio is around 50-60 in 2000 students. Faculty is friendly with their students, you can definitely share your personal problems with them, and they try to provide solutions to you.
 

Placement Rating
Average placements are about 13 LPA. Highest 47 LPA, IIITN cell is also there.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel services are there and you will get a room by first come first serve preference. Rules are like others institutions only. Boys and girls have separate hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of IIIT Nagpur is around of one acre of land, it is near to Buttibori in Nagpur. There is an academic block, an administrative block, one ground for football, a basketball court and a badminton court. Library is there, labs are in good condition too, seminar hall, conference hall are present too. A canteen is there in academic block, and medical facility is given, where a doctor sits 24x7. Security guards are present all over the campus, so security condition is good. Indoor games facilities like table tennis, badminton, gym, etc. is provided too. However, outdoor games’ courts are not maintained properly.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is good but most parts of the campus are still not developed, many gardens are building. The institution’s crowd is good. We celebrate each and every fiesta in josh and joy. ‘Abhivyakti’ and ‘Tantra’ are our cultural and tech fests. There are clubs like Music, Dance, Drama, Storia, Graphics Club, GDG, and many more. I will recommend taking the institution’s hostel to avail all facilities to its fullest.

    IIIT Nagpur is a public-private partnership based institute, an institute of national importance. Being an IIIT, I chose this college. Here, the experience is decent. Campus life is average and the infrastructure is good as far as academic and administrative buildings are concerned. Faculties are highly qualified and are good in terms of teaching; course curriculum is well designed for students of every branch.     You will find the overall college life somewhere between average to good, in this college you can experience the campus life only if you are staying in the college hostel. I am saying this because only limited seats are there in the college hostel for freshers.     I chose IIITN because of the various reasons listed here: 1. I did not get any other top college better than this college. 2. This institute has a tag of national importance, which is a good thing. 3. The institute has a big campus area of 100 acres which is greater than many IIITs. 4.
